Perhaps sharing the prompts beforehand/sharing that there will be an identity-focused activity in class. This will give us to really reflection, opt out if we are uncomfortable, or prepare ourselves to be in a challenging environment

I really enjoyed our discussion surrounding the fear we all have walking alone at night and sharing our experiences. It was a vulnerable and disheartening conversation that we could all relate to. It made me feel not so alone. I look forward to having more open conversations but I'm not sure how to regulate whether or not people feel uncomfortable.

I mostly enjoy the past unit, but I find it a bit uncomfortable to be expected as victims/underprivileged when we have conversations about privileges. However, I still appreciate these activities and I do think they are meaningful. I hope we can find more appropriate ways to do these conversations in the future.

I think it was a good effort, and that talking about privilege is important, but I feel like the privilege questionnaire forced people to disclose information that they might feel uncomfortable with disclosing, especially with such short notice. Specifically, the questions around gender, financial status and sexuality. Students really don't have an obligation or responsibility to share that information—but the way that the activity was set up made it feel a bit like we did. Additionally, a few questions on a privilege checklist kind of oversimplifies certain issues in a way that I think was more harmful than helpful.

I think this was a very eye opening experience and I enjoyed participating in conversations despite some of them making me feel uncomfortable. I think that for me the uncomforted was a necessary part for growth, and I am glad we did the activities we did.
