On the other hand, I live in a neighborhood called “Balmoral”, at Fusagasugá. I live in my paternal grandmother’s house, with my parents, my sister, and of course, my grandmother, in addition, we own a cat named Yoruichi. We live on the second floor of the house, because the first floor is already rented to someone else. Furthermore, our floor has 3 rooms, a kitchen, two bathrooms, a dining room, and access to the rooftop. From there, is possible to see two main places, on the left side, we have a small park with a huge tree in the center, where usually all the neighbors bring their pets to play or pass the time. On the right side, we have an electric power plant, with not too much else to say. The rest of the place is surrounded by houses and the main street. 

Finally, my daily routine is the following, I wake up around 7 to 8 am and first thing I do is taking a shower, I take my breakfast half an hour later I woke up, it is usually a boiled egg, with bread and an instant oatmeal, sometimes it is different and with more options to eat. I do not have a job, and I do all my daily activities at home, so when it comes to having to go somewhere, I use the public transport or just walk. I take my lunch at 1 or 2 pm, it depends on the daily menu of the restaurant I go to get the lunch. I don’t get out too much often, so I don’t have an exact time of going back home. At 6 pm I finish doing my activities from the UNAD, take my dinner, which is not too much, just a hot chocolate and some bread, and sometimes with some of the lunch’s leftovers. Later, I begin playing video games or spend some time in one of my hobbies. Then, I finally go to sleep at 11 or 12 pm. On my weekends I do mostly the same as other days, but with occasional variations as walking out with my family. In my daily life I try to practice the English language by sometimes talking to myself or thinking in English, also, sometimes I see a lot of videos from English native people that help me a lot to understand new words.

Auto reflexión
De manera honesta y sincera realizo esta auto reflexión, destacando en primer lugar que la revisé con regularidad los mensajes enviados por mi tutor en el foro y también los enviados por mis compañeros. Adicionalmente, estudié y apropié las temáticas presentas en el E-book para esta tarea. Mi participación en el foro estuvo dentro de los tiempos indicados y fue significativa. No obstante, no participé en ninguno de los espacios de interacción como Web conferencias y B-learnings debido a la no disponibilidad de tiempo que tuve durante unos días. Los aprendizajes obtenidos para esta tarea fueron principalmente el uso de nuevo vocabulario para describir lugares, situaciones, rutinas e información personal. Por lo tanto, los aprendizajes de esta tarea son importantes en el sentido que, sirven como base para la creación de párrafos más complejos en un futuro, y a su vez, este tipo de párrafos es altamente requerido en el ámbito profesional para obtener una plaza en un trabajo, ya bien sea que el vocabulario aprendido pueda ser empleado en una entrevista o para escribir un curriculum.

Por lo mencionado anteriormente, considero que la calificación de mi trabajo y desempeño es un 9.

My name is Jorge Alejandro Borda Fresneda. I am single. I am from Fusagasuga, Cundinamarca, and I’m currently living there. I am 18 years old. I am a student. I am studying Food engineering at UNAD. In my free time, I like to play video games, play guitar, draw, or write.

- What are the main touristic places in your city or town? 

The main touristic places in Fusagasuga are the large old houses, as for example, the large old house of the “Tulipana”, and the Central Park with the church; “Our lady of Belen”. Unfortunately, the city doesn’t have any other touristic destination. However, in the past, another important touristic place, was the Sabaneta Hotel, most known for being the hotel where many foreigners got retained during the World War II context.

- What is the typical food in your city?

Is difficult to say if Fusagasuga has a typical food. Many people agree with the idea of the “Vara con arepa” being our typical food, however, many other people disagree on this due to the cultural diversity that Fusagasuga has. By having people that come from any part of the country, made it difficult to have specific typical food.

- What are the main ingredients of the typical food?

If we count the “Vara con arepa” as the typical food, then it is prepared with a roasted pig sausage and an arepa, sometimes made from flour of corn or even stuffed with some various meats from ranch animals.

- What are the main celebrations in your city/town?

The main celebrations in my city are the “Expofusa” fairs that got celebrated every year.

- What do people do in those celebrations?

People usually come to see cultural shows like dances, musical concerts, floral arrays, horse parades, taste dishes and desserts, and many other popular activities. 

- What activities can visitors do in your city or town?

In my city visitors can: Live peacefully and have a nice life quality due to the facilities that this small city offers. And sometimes, the people may enjoy the cultural activities that are often made at the Central Park.
