Lacrosse is a fast paced sport played like a combination of basketball and hockey. Lacrosse is both a male and female sport, however the rules are extremely different.

Why did I choose lacrosse? I played lacrosse in high school and in college for the University of Arkansas. Go Razorbacks! I played defense and for both teams.

An object at rest remains at rest and an object in motion remains in motion unless an unbalanced force acts upon it.

Example 1: When the lacrosse ball is thrown in the air, the ball will remain in motion until the forces of air resistance and gravity act7 on the ball, slowing it down to the point where it is either caught by another player or it drops to the ground.

Example 2: Like in basketball, teammates set picks for each other on offense in lacrosse. A player setting a pick will remain at rest until the defender exerts a force on that player, perhaps knocking them backward.
