         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first  hot-air balloon is invented by Joseph-Michel Montgolfier and Jacques-Étienne Montgolfier. The balloon was constructed of paper and sackcloth. Passengers are put into the hot-air balloon that was invented mid 1783 y the Montgolfier brothers. Those in the balloon were a sheep, a duck, and a rooster.</div>]]></description>

Because the model that he built was only able to fly a short distance, he was given a grant to create a larger version. The new one ultimately failed because it was too heavy.</div>]]></description>
