         <description><![CDATA[<div>Overall, I think the sessions went well as the activities fitted  the criteria we tried to teach to the students. This was shown during the last weeks session as we let the students have a mini tournament and we could see that most of the students was using some of the skills they had learnt during the 6 week programme, we could see teamwork and social skills had improved between the group and the passing and shooting techniques had as well as people started using bounce passes, chest passes, jump shots and dive shots in the game which they had learnt from previous weeks. This wasn't easy though as the first few weeks was tough, we found getting engaged with the students and presenting the activities was a bit of a struggle for us and something that needed improving as our feedback from week 1 showed that the students was inactive for over 30 minutes. This could be because that was our first week teaching a group of strangers so it was a bit daunting and that we didn't really know what we was doing. This did improve as the weeks went on as we started getting more engaged in the sessions and started improving on our weaknesses from earlier sessions such as demonstrations to show how an activity should be played instead of just trying to explain it to everyone. We also embedded other sports into our handball sessions to get people who many not like handball as a sport get involved and learn the rules and skills of handball while doing something that feels completely different like dodgeball and we found this ended up working really well to get the students engaged within our activities.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We believe our sessions hit most of the KS4 physical education national curriculum as the curriculum states that the "students should develop a variety of tactics and strategies to overcome opponents in team and individual games". (Department For Education). We had a session in week 2 purely dedicated on developing the participants tactical and strategic thinking through our activities like Cops VS Robbers and Coin Thieve even our warm up and cool down implemented strategical thinking into them so the entire session fitted the criteria. The curriculum then goes on to state that the students should "develop their technique and improve on their performance in other competitive sports" and that the students should continue to take part regularly in competitive sports and activities out of school" (Department For Education). For our sessions we took in what students should develop in KS4 by looking at the national curriculum and we decided to implement as much as we can of it into our sessions and this can be seen for the 3rd weeks session when we made sessions on how to shoot in handball but implemented a game of squash and dodgeball into our lesson plans which will have made students learn different skills for different sports while also learning the main objective of shooting in handball, this also got the students more engaged as we involved different sports within our activities which could have made the sessions more fun for the participants which could encourage them to form a new hobby or interest in dodgeball from a lesson based on handball.</div>]]></description>
