The country chosen for my exporting plan is Latvia. I wish to enter the market with having a small or medium sized enterprise, while I am aware that Latvia is a desired country for this I am also aware of selling factors, techniques, trade promotion, advertising and more common factors that my company will need to be aware of when selling in my market. As I am exporting a plan I will use the wave entry market strategy because I believe that its the best strategy for my plan and the setting of my plan, I also recommend this strategy to others because of the combination that it consists of from the expanse of the sprinkler strategy and the safety of the waterfall strategy. The wave strategy also gives a certain degree of stability and backup in case of failing to enter another group of markets. Lastly this strategy is the safest bet because of the risks of each particular case are minimal, making the wave strategy quite cost-effective. Latvia transitioning to a market orientated economy and having the price of goods and services be determined in a free price system I believe will benefit my exporting plan. Due to my small or medium sized enterprise that I am creating is in the country of Latvia I will use the major global trade bloc as the European Union. The European Union developed a single market through a standardized system of laws that apply in all of its member states. In addition to this there are policies in place for European Union that are key to secure the free movement of people, goods, services, and capital between its member countries. Other countries that I will use to continue my export plan are Lithuania and possibly Estonia. The reason for these other two countries are due to their similarities in culture, business environment and economic ties between the countries. Although the country Estonia may not be included in all of the different parameters it will be further determined from my business that is incorporated.

Grayson Mills: Sweden Export Plan - The country I have chosen to create an export plan for is Sweden. One of the reasons for this is because exporting from Sweden to other European countries would be relatively easy as Sweden is a part of the European Union (EU). The EU has its own market with its own trade rules which makes it easier for countries a part of the EU to conduct business. The best entry marketing strategy to be implemented for Sweden would likely be the Wave Strategy. This is because it groups countries of similar cultures and available markets. With Sweden being a part of the EU, any country they try to export to within the EU would have the same market. This means the extent of an analysis for market trends would not have to be as drastic as exporting to a separate market like the US. Once Sweden has exported successfully to the most similar countries, they can then move to less similar countries. For examples, the countries that would be best to export to within the EU would be Norway and Denmark. This is because, much like Sweden, they are both Scandinavian countries. After success in Norway and Denmark, they can then begin exporting to Finland and Iceland which are sometimes considered Scandinavian when broader definitions are used. When exporting to Finland and Iceland, the markets and the culture will be similar to Sweden but not as similar as Norway and Denmark were to Sweden. Once exported successfully to Finland and Iceland, they can begin to branch out to even more countries that are less alike to Sweden, such as France and the United Kingdom. Ideally, the Wave Strategy would be the best for this scenario due to the similar cultures and markets that are easily available due to the European Union. Another advantage to this strategy would be that it combines both the Sprinkler Strategy with the Waterfall Strategy to provide something that is well rewarding while also relatively safe. This, however, could be a disadvantage as well because it is the happy medium between the Sprinkler and Waterfall Strategy; the jack of all trades but the master of none.

My Exporting Plan for Greece: The country I have picked for my exporting plan is Greece. The reasons I have chosen Greece for the exporting plan is because of its strategic location, its market economy and because Greece is a member of The European Union (EU). Greece is located in southern Europe in a strategically dominating location with borders to Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey, The Aegean Sea, the lonia Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. This location is ideal as the countries surrounding operate in similar market, they also interact with similar cultures and deals. Since Greece runs under the government system of a parliamentary republic; This is where the chief of state is the president and the head of government is the prime minister, this gives citizens better and more access to the market. Greece also operates in a market economy so citizens and businesses operate in an economy where the prices of goods and services are determined in a free price system so those living in Greece can operate in the market however, they want with little regulations. Greece is also a member of The European Union, so Greece is able to trade with other countries who are also apart of the European Union much easier. So, Given the location, Government style, its market economy and access to The European union I believe the best marketing strategy for Greece would be the wave strategy. For the first stage in my wave strategy for Greece would be to expand our market into the countries of Albania, Macedonia and Bulgaria as they are most culturally like Greece’s culture. Is stage 2 we would expand the markets across the Aegean Sea and Ionian Sea to Italy. In stage 2 we would also expand north into Romania and Serbia. In stage 3 we would focus on across the Mediterranean Sea into the Libya and Egypt markets. While expanding south we would also use the European Unions market allies to expand as far north in Europe. Stage 4 would be focusing on solely the European Unions Market. We MUST be careful in strategy as there is little room for error. This process will take time and its essential to be attentive to details.

My exporting plan for the United Kingdom: I have chosen the United Kingdom for my exporting plan as I believe the country is strategically placed and in a good position for trading. Britain is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea, the English Channel, and the Irish Sea, and lies next to important North Atlantic sea lanes. The United Kingdom is also only 35km away from France and is linked underground by rail, this means there are many accessible ways from Britain to move their goods. I would choose to use the sprinkler strategy as I believe it would be the best strategy for trading in Europe. The United Kingdom will be able to move goods either directly over the English Channel into countries such as France and Belgium or they will be able to transport under the sea on the railroad. After moving the goods across the sea they will be able to distribute to all different types of companies for example, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Netherlands. The sprinkler system will help with this best as the United Kingdom will try and reach many different markets to gain more profit and stay ahead of competitors. On the other hand the United Kingdom could use the North Atlantic sea lanes to transport products to North America and Africa, to do this I think it would be best to use a waterfall strategy. This is because North America and Africa are much further away so it would take more time and money to move the goods these distances. Using the strategy is best as it will allow the United Kingdom to set up and establish a client base, after they have secured their market they will be able to slowly expand to neighbouring countries/states. They could begin these markets in countries such as Canada, New York, Guinea, or Senegal.

The county I have chosen for my exporting plan in Spain. I chose this country for several factors but the two most important are location and being part of the European Union or EU. Spain is surrounded by the Bay of Biscay, the Mediterranean and Cantabrian Seas, and the Northern Atlantic Ocean making Spain accessible by water. Spain is also next to Portugal, Gibraltar (part of the United Kingdom) Andorra, and France in Europe and connects with Morocco in Africa. This accessibility from both land and water is what makes Spain a good location for trading. The second reason why I chose Spain is that is part of the European Union. The European Union is a union of 27 countries that decided to work together in other to create a stronger and more united Europe. Being part of the European Union is key for the market because it secures free trading between the countries of the union, as well as the free movement of goods, capital, services, and people and taking into consideration that the European Union is the world’s largest market. The strategy That I think best fits the characteristics of a country like Spain is the wave market entry strategy. I think this strategy is the best because it combines the expanse of the other two strategies sprinkler and waterfall. The wave strategy helps to get into different markets and tries to give stability and backup in case you fail to enter another group of markets. I think this is the stability that Spain needs for its trade. Being part of the European Union put Spain in the best market but being able to pursue other markets knowing that you have support in case of falling will help the country expand the market. I will also focus on exporting to countries besides me so we can make stronger alliances.

Exporting plan in Poland
The country I have chosen for my exporting plan is Poland. I chose this country because it has a strategic position in Europe, also because it is considered an important and dynamic market in the middle of Europe. Thus, it is part of the European Union so it can trade with the other boarding countries and it can benefit off trade. Additionally, Poland is located in front of the Baltic sea where we can find other important European countries such as Norway, Sweden and Finland. Moving down from Poland we can find all the Balkan area.

I would choose the waterfall entry strategy that allows a company to enter one foreign market and establish itself, then it can promote the product and build a strong client base off it. I believe Poland would fit well into this strategy as it is a very productive country that already supply a lot of raw material such as fossil coal and gas for a domestic use. At the beginning Poland could take advantage of its strategic position and start a business with the closest boarding countries. Also I think it could export its goods by sea as an easy and comfortable way. On the other side, Poland could trade with other important countries and import their goods in the Nation.

Once a Polish company feels comfortable in the market and its position gets stable, the same business can be expanded into the next market. How can we accomplish this? Because of the waterfall strategy, a business can use clear entry stages, gaining knowledge off it and lastly it can use the knowledge obtained to go into the next stage. Another reason why the waterfall strategy is suggested for Poland is the long life cycle that a market entry requires. Once Poland will have built a strong client base with most of the European markets, it will finally expand product toward other foreign markets such as North America.

Portugal, formally the Portuguese Republic, is a nation whose territory also includes the Atlantic archipelagos of the Azores and Madeira. Its peninsula is situated on the Iberian Peninsula in Southwest Europe. Its Iberian half is bounded to the north and east by Spain, the only nation to share a land border with Portugal, and to the west and south by the Atlantic Ocean. It also has the westernmost point in all of continental Europe. Two independent areas with separate regional governments are formed by its two archipelagos. The capital and most populous city is Lisbon. They are well-positioned for exportation thanks to them. Additionally, it is a nation that benefits economically from membership in the European Union. Portugal, is a favorable market for exporters. Serves as the foundation for robust trade connections, particularly in the travel and tourist sector and among expat populations. With a fiercely competitive knowledge-based export sector and a thriving start-up environment, the Portuguese economy is currently routinely rising faster than the average for the Eurozone. The major markets for British exports are in financial services, sustainable development, life sciences, and technology, which is an example of a regular country that exports a lot to Portugal. In the medium term, infrastructure, especially rail and airports, and mining are projected to present considerable business prospects. While the local market may have sufficient sales potential for tiny businesses, it is just too small for medium-sized and bigger businesses, and exporting is the only way to increase sales. Increased sales can also effect your profitability (albeit not always in a good way), productivity by cutting unit costs, and perceptions of your company's size and stature, which can affect how competitively your company is positioned in relation to other businesses of a similar size. Furthermore, increased sales volume or the company's decision to export may help it balance the expenditures of research and development and other expenses.

The country that I have chosen for my exporting plan is Italy as it has a good position in Europe to trade around other major nations such as Germany, Spain, The United Kingdom, and others. Being part of the European Union allows them to have good relationships with many countries so that it is easier to trade. Italy is known for being one of the biggest exporting countries when it comes to food and primary ingredients. Therefore I believe that the best plan for this country would be to use the sprinkler method as it can expand its business to a number of foreign markets. Even though it is high risk I believe that the reward could be just as high since it would allow Italy to collect profits from several markets through its products and at the same time be in front of their competition. Even if the competition uses the same method they would be seen as a follower rather than the initiator and Italy would have the advantage and gain a great amount of profit. One disadvantage could be that by entering a big amount of markets it would be a fairly important initial investment and the cost for staff and personnel would be high. Even though it could be risky to enter many markets at once it would not be a problem as one market fails the profit of all the others would make up to it. Italy has a developed industrial north and the south that bases itself more on agriculture. This diversity allows them to focus on different aspects in various different sectors for example motorizations as well as any type of ingredient for food and fashion. Even though the other two methods could be helpful I believe that the sprinkler is still the best option for this country.

I’m doing mine on the country Latvia and is the country in the Baltic region in Northern Europe. The country is good to trade with because it borders, Estonia, Lithuania, and the Baltic Sea. Latvia is a member of EU the European union and the government system Has chief of state which is the president and the head of the government is Prime Minister. Because of price of goods and a free price system Latvia Has transferred to a market oriented economy. I recommend using the wave approach to export with two bordering countries Like Lithuania and Estonia. The wave market entry strategy is simultaneous business expansion to a number of foreign markets, Classifying them into groups by suitable market. This strategy groups them by similarity to domestic market. They analyze culture and business environments of available markets like grouping Lithuania and Estonia due to similarities in culture, business and economic. The wave like business expansion is divided into stages. Involving market similar to the domestic one is the first stage and usually geographically close in distance. The other stages groups markets further and is less than the domestic one. The wave market entry strategy combines the expanse of the sprinkler strategy and the safety of the waterfall strategy which makes it good for Latvia to trade. Once companies enter the market they gain profits and gains advantage over its competition and is especially effective against domestic competitors. The wave strategy gives Latvia A degree of stability And if the first entry fails the company can retreat to domestic positions. This strategy makes Latvia quite cost effective. A disadvantage is it does not allow entering all available markets at once. With Latvia using the wave strategy it will be criticized for taking extra time to analyze a lot of markets in order to group them and the market analysis is required in any strategy.
