Article: The article  I read talked about conservative Judaism. Conservative Jewish rabbis are trying to bring the Medieval ways and thoughts of Judaism back.  These people still practice the Torah and believe in the basics of the religion, but will also look into Medieval books and scriptures of the religion. They also believe that Jewish people have failed to do the basic practices of the religion. This includes not eating kosher all their life and not practicing all the holidays. A quote to represent this article is, "Concerned with abandonment of the Kosher dictary laws, the Hebrew liturgy, and the doctrine of Israelite doctrine". Article: The article I read revolves around progressive Christianity. This is a belief where any race, sexuality, or place of origin is accepted into the church. The people practicing this believe more in biology then theology. These churches are Christian and practice the teachings of the bible, but want to make the church more about love, peace, and equality. A quote that represents the article is, "He accepted the sinner, the unclean, the prostitute". This is a quote used by the article because it shows no matter who you are, in Jesus' eyes you can be just as christian as everyone else. No one is higher than others.

Article: The article I read talks about how Buddhism inspired  jobs  to help their workers relieve stress and have a well being. This article mainly focused on the police academy. Gary Watts, a sergeant from Falmouth, talks about his religion and how it has effected the police station he works at. He believes that Buddhism  practices could make all police stations a better place. He believes that one of the main practices of Buddhism (meditation) could help the police officers leave off stress. He also says that the practice of meditation does not matter based upon religion. The article states, " I would like to open up practices such as meditation classes to all officers and staff in the interest of health and well-being. There are already police associations for followers of other religions, such as Muslims, Christians and even Pagans " In the long run, I believe this could potentially help save victims from some type of police brutality. Buddhism is a religion that does not act on violence because of anger and a majority of police brutality is based off some type of anger.
