2) Smear his blood in and put it on the drunk guards so it looks  like they did the murder

It can go wrong when they were trying to put the blame on the servants because they could have been sober enough to remember what was happening, Duncan could have woken up when he was about to get killed.

3. Lady Macbeth and Macbeth will then smear Duncan's blood on the guards to make it seem like it was the guard's doing.

What could go wrong?
Someone could see them in the middle of the night enacting their plan. 
The guards might not have drank the wine.

They would then take the kings blood and put it all over the drunken guards so it looks as if they killed them.
