Through this chapter, chapter 58, I questioned how Enzo died.

At the beginning of the book Denny, Enzo's owner, was putting

Enzo down, but in this final chapter Enzo was in the kitchen with

Denny and pasted. So my question's are; How did Enzo die?

Medically or naturally?

When Enzo got hit

by the car in this chapter,

chapter 46, I connected

the seen to the movie

Frankenweenie, directed

by Tim Burton. That's how

I pictured the seen as I

read.

I can infer that the number one fan is Enzo's

re-incarnation. This is because the author had

previously clued to it. This is because the chapter

before, while Enzo was dying he thought about

how when he gets re-incarnated as a man he was

going to come and visit Zoe and Denny. They also

told use that time had passed, so it of course makes

sense

When Enzo is telling his version 

of how he wanted the court to go 

with his witnessing with Steven 

Hawking's voice translator all 

I could picture was Enzo dressed 

up with a suit and tie sitting up on 

the stand speaking with technical terms, 

winning over the impressed crowd.

The book opens your eyes to the emotion an understanding of a dog. You also see and feel the 

power between owner and pet, a man is nothing without his dog. There's no easy way of 

summing up this passionate book without spoiling it. All I can say is through thick and thin everyone

needs a companion. You see You see this as Enzo and his owner, Denny, hit rock bottom and pull 

themselves up.

I love how the author developed

his plot. He built strong characters,

without boring the audience. He

then moved slowly into the drama

and took his time with the tone,

making your insides bubble with

empathy. He managed to keep

everything at flow, with great detail,

and no overly drawn out scenes, he

kept a good speed.

I like how the author made

Enzo this made up monster,

the demon zebra. I feel it made

the emotion and description

in parts of the story stronger

and it helped visually give a

mood to the scene.

The theme of The art of Racing in

the Rain is that the people around

you make the biggest impact on

your life. This is because Enzo's

life is all about the things that go

on around that make him him

and his life his life.

Garth Stein, the author of

The art of Racing in the Rain, has a beautiful form of writing. He keeps everything at a good speed. His speed keeps from boring the reader, or going to fast. Same with his description, not too much not too little. He knows how to keep a balance in his writing, like how Buddha keeps a balance in being fat and/or skinny

The lesson to this book is to 'Learn how to race in the rain,' just like racing a car in a rain storm you have to learn how to smoothly pull through the ruff patches in your life. When the worst is thrown at you just keep fighting. Pull yourself through.
