Progress of the lesson: They are already good at simple vocabularies such as like, big, small, and so on... So, I tried to check their other vocabularies such as parts of the body. We tried to learn it through song and gestures.

Seo Hyun was good in taking up the speaking class. She makes sentences in a better way and talking carefully. She's happy always but when we first tried 'charades games' using Chat GPT, it added more her energy in the class, and it goes very well. Seo Hyun expresses herself more and she's good in this point.

I asked her about her interests and hobbies after realizing that she was capable in reading and writing short sentences. She said that she really enjoyed drawing, so I asked her to draw something for our next lesson that had to do with constructing sentences. In that way she can do the things that she likes and gain knowledge at the same time.

Ever since our first lesson, we have only done reading. However, I thought about asking some questions to her using AI Tools such as Papago, and allow her to respond in writing. We also conducted some short interviews. I then realized that she enjoys engaging in such activities.

Seo Kyung has always been serious during our class. When I try to get her to watch stories from vooks.com before we start our lesson, I realize that she prefers to watch videos rather than read.After watching. I will ask her some questions about the videos that she have watched. In that way, I can tell if she truly understands what she was watching. Also, whenever we read short stories, we draw some activities after.

Seo jin is always quiet and shy during our class. More often, he is quite distracted or not focused. Our lesson is about Let's go Book 2, but he seems uninterested. So I asked him what he wants to do. I gave him options like drawing, watching videos/music, play a game or read. He said he wanted to play a game. We played Find the difference game. He participated in the class and practiced some of the words.

While having free talk, Eon Seo and I got to talk about our favorite place to go with our family. So I decided to use the PBL approach in our class at that time. I remember that she likes to draw so I asked her to draw her favorite place, which is an amusement park. She drew her favorite ride in the amusement park while I also participated in our activity as I drew my favorite place which is the sea. After we finished our drawing, we showed it to each other and I asked her to explain her drawing. I also asked some questions regarding her drawing that will allow her to speak more and be able to practice her English thinking ability. She really enjoyed the class. After the class, I asked her if the class was fun and she said "It is very very very fun".

Progress of the lesson: The student has a pet parrot whose name is Jack and he always talks about his pet. I thought that maybe we could talk about it so that he could enjoy the class more and not be sleepy. So I asked questions about his parrot and Hyun Min said a lot about his parrot, such as its age, type, and its food. He even showed that it was talking, and the parrot did talk (he said '아니요- aniyo), so we were very happy. He even brought Jack to the sink so I could see that his parrot enjoyed playing in the water. Because of those things, the class became more interactive and lively!

Progress of the lesson: Ye Ji has been my student for a long time, we spend more time in free-talking and she has become my friend. Our conversations are fun, but sometimes we run out of topics and end up talking about whatever, which is not a bad thing though. But I thought, that in order to make our conversations more meaningful and refreshing, I suggested to her that maybe we could try to watch a short video from our website (jw.org) once a week and that is what we will talk about in the whole class. She happily agreed and said that it was a great idea! So next week, we will start such a strategy. I will update again on what the result of that idea is.

I did the same with his sister Park su in. I talked to her about the things she likes, and to my surprise her answer was similar. She told me she just finished watching food videos from her favorite food vlogger, and she even showed the vlog to me. We ended up making food recipes too before we finished the class. Su in made a recipe of making a tteokbokki.

We watched a TED-ED video (The psychology of narcissism - W. Keith Campbell)

He made a short essay of how the new information about this disorder fascinated him, what he thinks the disadvantages are, and how this information contributed a fresh perspective for him. He seemed very interested, and had fun.

Key Points: Every week, we will organize online gatherings for elementary school students with various themes. In these gatherings, we will engage in the following activities:

1. Escape Room Games: Participants will challenge themselves to escape from a room by understanding and following hints and instructions provided in English, promoting teamwork and problem-solving skills.

2. Solving Math Problems: Students will enhance their mathematical abilities and grasp mathematical concepts in English by solving math problems presented in English.

3. Quiz Competitions: By participating in quizzes on various topics, students will improve their knowledge and enhance their English language skills.

Objective: To help students translate a Korean storybook into English, with the teacher providing feedback on grammatical accuracy and vocabulary choices.

Context: The teacher, who does not understand Korean, presents sentences from a Korean storybook. The student translates these into English, and the teacher gives feedback based on the student's translation.

Example Dialogue:

   Student: "He go to mountain every day for cutting wood."

   Teacher: Almost there. The correct translation is, "He went to the mountain every day to cut wood." Remember to use the past tense 'went' and the infinitive 'to cut'.

3. Teacher: What about this one? Please translate it.

   Student: "One day, he finds special tree."

   Teacher: Close, but it should be "One day, he found a special tree." Use the past tense 'found'.

When we started the class, Chan hee already said that he's tired and hungry. I figured out that he's not in the mood yet to have the class. First, we had a free talking about his day in school. Then I noticed he's playing a game in his phone. I asked him and said it's Geometry Dash game. So I thought of using PBL to attract him in our class. I asked him to get a paper and pens. I explained what poster means first, than I started making it. I showed him how I made a poster for the geometry dash. I also explained about the drawing. Then, it his turn to draw. When he finished his drawing, I asked him to explain to me about it. At first, he doesn't know how to explain, but I taught him how to do it simply. I also asked some questions while pointing on his drawings and then he answered it. Seems like he enjoyed it and he got focused in our class, especially that he likes the topic about the game geometry dash. Interactive class can make the students enjoy the class, especially when the teacher is also doing the activity.

We always start our clads by asking about her day. That time, Seo Hyun said that she went on a school trip. They went to a place and made some things or project. She made a pencil holder using paper and boxes. Then, I thought that we can also make things together. We talked about paper origami. Before our class ended, I asked her to prepare a paper and a scissor for the next class.

The next class, we watched a video on how to make a bird paper origami. We made it together. Seo Hyun is so good at following the steps for making it. After we're done, we named our paper bird. She named hers as BLUKY, I named mine as PATOH. She was so happy with our activity and said that she enjoyed it very much.

I noticed that grammar is a huge weakness of seung bin. We did PBL by using chat gpt. He learned how to use it to help him make his own essays more grammatical. I hope he applies this in our next lessons especially when writing essays. Afterwards, we read a short JW article and he made a short essay about it, and sed what he learned about chat gpt to make his essay grammatical.

I always starts our class by asking her if she was okay or if she’s happy or sad today. We discussed the red cat phonic book. When we finished reading the book, I asked her to write the words that she will hear from me on her paper.

Seo hyun's dinner was Vietnamese Spring rolls. While we are having free talking, she told me that she made the spring rolls and that she also likes cooking. So I thought on making a recipe book about it. The next class, we prepared a pen and a paper. She told me the ingredients. Then, I explained how to simply do it. We made it together. For next time, we will try to put drawings in our recipe book.

While talking about how his day went, I showed him my small Rubik's cube. Then he also got his. I asked him if he knows how to fix it, but he doesn't. So I told him that we will fix it together. We started by solving 1 color side which is the color white. We watched a video on how to do it, and then I also showed him how to do it. Slowly, we have almost solved it. We will finish solving it for the next class. Seo jin was usually distracted and not attentive, but when we had this activity, he was attentive and focused during our class.
