Once her father died, Isabelle's mother decided to move the both of them to Minneapolis. This saddened Isabelle even more because she not only lost her father, but she also would be losing her friends as well. As Isabelle fights to find a sense of happiness underneath all of her losses, she is eventually accompanied by a few new friends who genuinely like her. This book boils down to Isabelle essentially trying to figure out how to navigate through her new life with such a damper already on it. Personally, this book wasn't the best read for me. I found it to be very monotoned or "boring".
