It is about a beautiful young lady who by the name of Nola Darling who resides in a studio apartment on Brooklyn, New York. Nola has three different men that chase after her. The first being Jamie Overstreet, he polite and just wants to treat Nola right. The second suitor is a conceited model, Greer Childs. Greer is too obsessed with his own ‘beauty’. And last but not least, Mars Blackman. Mars is a childlike character played by Spike Lee himself. Mars makes Nola laugh and puts a smile on her face.
