I think this is an area that my parents often struggled in. They were very clear cut and direct in the things in which they wanted me to achieve. I eventually got burned out on the sport and did not want to play anymore. I remember my freshman year of high school explaining to my parents that I did not want to continue in the sport. They were so upset because their goal for me was to play college ball.
