         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the article "the Humanity of Blackness " 'missing from history classes: How to Transform Black History Education in School" Dr. Daina says that when African history is taught it shouldn't start at slavery.&nbsp; It should have been started when the African Americans were free people and when they had a stable system.&nbsp; If we started at that part of history people would understand how Africa really was and not the racial biases we were taught then history wouldn't be a problem.</div>]]></description>

"We must remember that African American history is not all about slavery, but that slavery had a profound impact and reach that continues today," says Lauren S. This teacher realized that we are only showing one side of the coin and that there is more to African American history that should be being taught in schools.</div>]]></description>
