The field of school counseling like the program expanding and renewing. Several state legislative bodies are taking into consideration for the authority to be involved with elementary (and, in some cases, middle) school counseling while others are updating accreditation standards and counselor certification requirements (Ferns, 1988; Glosoff & Koprowicz, 1990). In addition, the National Conference of State Legislatures and the American Association for Counseling and Development (AACD) recently collaborated on a report advocating elementary school counseling programs (Glosoff & Koprowicz, 1990).  

The developmental aspects give a window of chances for educating policymakers about the parts of a complete school counseling program and the expropriate role of school counselors (Cole, 1988; Sweeney, 1988). The environment is favored, however, there is also an expansion that is focused on responsibility (Cole, 1988; Lombana, 1985), including giving authority for program assessments that are tied to giving monetary in several states. Thus, program expansions must be helped by structured ideas and authentic methods for comprehensive school counseling programs that are still around, which includes actual ushers for program evolution (Gysbers & Henderson, 1988; Myrick, 1987) and a series of professional position statements (see American School Counselor Association [ASCA (American School Counselor Association)] references). School counselors that do research give recommendations for effective practice, although several analysts have found more recommendations than unadulterated logic-based features in the writings (e.g., Cole, 1988; Loesch, 1988).  

All the sources are everywhere which makes it difficult for school counselors to support, make ideas or assess comprehensive school counselor plans.  This article stressed the fact that they you need to plan and stick to it (Brown, 1989). School counselors have a lot of support to assist them with their work and to do an excellent job at it. There are several divisions that a school counselor can choose to work with, and it is wise to pick a topic that you are familiar with and would like to encounter. Counseling and Development. (1988).
