I also like the phet simulator as it allows me to see the real time reaction of the battery and lightbulb and explore more possiblities.

However, there is alot of switching in between the apps which is abit confusing to me. Overall, i do enjoy the lesson!

I also enjoyed the phet stimulators and I will likely use it to help my students understand the topic on electricity better.

As for booklet, I think we can use it for student who cannot afford to loose in a game. So they learnt that they just have to do their best and you need luck to finally win the game due to steal functions.

Good to see Blooket in action, read about the sharing on Blooket in our Aha Moments and watched some videos on it. But nothing beats experiencing it first hand.

I was most impressed by Blooket due to the high level of engagement - however, I also felt quite stressed trying to rush through my answers in case others stole my candy. This made me feel like sometimes engagement can come at the expense of contemplation and understanding. Great for a check in activity though!

Phet Simulator

I really enjoyed exploring this tool on my own due to the immediate feedback given. I learnt most by exploring the different cause and effects of using the various tools - However, this also caused me to deviate my attention from teacher's instructions and I had to be very intentional in staying on task - students may struggle with this.

The use of Classtools is very visually engaging tool that can be used independently for classroom activities. Similar to Classpoint, it has name picker feature but it is a standalone tool which need not be integrated into a software to use, unlike Classpoint which has to be integrated into Powerpoint.

Have been using Google Drive and this is the first time looking at how Google Classroom is used to consolidate doc, slides etc.

Thank you for introducing Vooks which provide a very engaging lesson starter for lesson. I will definitely explore more with my students.

The demonstration and use of the application of Classpoint with the use of the camera mode and uploading of images from the web.

Nice brain break activity, I can tweak it to suit my students’ profile. Thank you for sharing the Vooks experience, having the ebook read aloud will make learning (especially for LP readers). Students can always review the lesson by reading the ebook at home with their parents.

Great interactive activities inserted into different parts of the lesson to ensure students are engaged.

To note:

In terms of user experience, I find that it is significantly easier to use ClassPoint on a bigger device like an iPad or Laptop especially for the interactive features like drawing.

Hence, it is important to be clear of your objectives (why you are choosing a particular tool) and priorities for the lesson (e.g. information sharing vs. interaction).

Reflecting on affordances helps me understand how to use technology to teach and learn. Don't use tools just for the sake. The horse/cart image comes to my mind.

Phet Simulator brings the science lab into the classroom, visually. While the real hands-on experience is the best option, this simulator enable students to see what happens during an experiment. It could be a good activator to introduce students to the experiment/concept, or flip classroom to try the experiment before conducting a hands-on experiment.

I like the features on Google Classroom that you have shared how students can access learning materials, and have reminders/announcements accessible in one page.

This is the first time I learn about ClassPoint and am already impressed by what I can do to enhance our usual ppt slides. I like the rewarding stars feature where students can earn stars as they follow along the lesson.

I like the draggable function where you encouraged students to come to the front to show the answer. I also like the record function of a video when we were doing the role play. The insertion of the different features in Classpoint, and even the sharing of affordances help me see the relevance of how I can use this to teach social skills in my lessons. The teacher Constance also made us ( the students) felt at ease, and I suddenly realised that high tech tools can help increase engagement, but nothing can be possible without the teacher. Seeing how Constance skillfully conduct the lesson and how several "students" like Hakim, JoLynn and Wendy joined in, I really like the communication which went on between the teacher and students. This does show evidence that Classpoint is truely engaging and interactive. I had great fun following this lesson. Thanks.

There was a section where teachers can view the feedback of the students, while I did not enjoy drawing, I did not like the idea when my "picture" was taken away( deleted) when it is described as poorly drawn by AI.

I also particularly like what members did, they interjected when itis time to share or explore the affordances. Thanks Yasmine, Wendy, JoLynn, Irda, Erda and Hafiz! I enjoyed your presentation.

Despite our audio issues it is nice to see everyone's participation. Thank you everyone for being such a good audience till the very last presentation!

Additional info:

• If you feel powerpoint's templates are not aesthetically pleasing, simply download slides template from canva and open as powerpoint! - download as pptx.

• Our team saved the powerpoint document in onedrive. As it is in clouds, we could edit the slides on our own just like google slides. You just need to log in to your mims account and type the authenticator code.

I will definitely look into phet simulation website to see if it can be beneficial for my students. In addition, I may also share this website with my colleagues to see how they can create UDL within their classroom by including this in their teaching.

Thank you for showcasing the features in google classroom. I have always seen the icon in my google drive but never got the chance to explore it. It can be a good alternative platform for SLS too!

Love the AI features in curipod as it was able to provide immediate feedback. I like how participants responses were captured when time is already up despite not clicking the submit button. Being a dreamer student there were multiple times that I have forgotten to click submit and I was surprised to know that my responses were captured. Unlike classpoint, it is great that curipod allows participants to view videos in their own devices too.

The Phet simulator activity made me wish this tool was available when I was still a student trying to understand how circuits work. I would introduce this tool to my students who have a keen interest in Science.

Thanks for the star rewards on Classpoint too. Just like our students, I feel so happy when get rewarded for my efforts when a task is completed.

I also like the check-in tool that was provided to everyone. We keep thinking about using technology that sometimes, we forget that low-tech tools may be simple but just as engaging and effective.

As my school subscribes to Classpoint for everyone, I have been using it with some of my students. However, it was this group assignment that gave me the opportunity to explore more of its functions, like taking photos, searching for pictures and uploading it as an answer. Classpoint is a great tool which allows educators to embed many features within a single powerpoint, making presentations seamless. 

Vooks is another great tool that I will introduce to my lower primary students who are not strong readers. Students can easily follow along because the words are highlighted as they are being read. This can help improve their word recognition.

I was first introduced to ClassPoint (by Isabel) when our group discussed about this assignment. I was amazed by the features packed within 1 application.

To me the best feature of ClassPoint is it seamlessly integrated features like AI generated quizzes, a class dojo-like gamification, name picker, countdown timer, etc into an app and I can assess these in PowerPoint! This makes life so much easier, no need to open and toggle between different apps in class.

Furthermore using this really upped students’ engagement. And I know and experience it through this assignment.

The Phet Simulator is also something I will implement back in school to give my ASD students a more visual way on understanding abstract scientific concepts.

I also enjoyed using other features on ClassPoint - I thought being able to search images/gif to represent my response for some questions were helpful. Would be helpful for students who may find more comfort in looking for visual representation of their responses.
