He started off by being an assistant cameraman and then worked his way up to directing commercials, which then led him to direct some music videos. Fincher's first movie received bad reviews but that didn't stop him. He persevered and pursued to his next movie which then received positive reviews. I think this is one of the major reasons why Fincher fits into film history because every director has started from square one and had bad films of their own but the important thing is that he never gave up. I think that Zodiac is one of his best films (if not the best) because I just thought it was so interesting and there wasn't a moment that made me want to fall asleep. The movie is a whopping 2 hours and 42 minutes but it didn't feel that long. The movie captured my attention and drew me in even further because it's based on a true story which made it even more intriguing. Along with the storyline itself, the camera shots we interesting and not bland at all. The film received 43% on Rotten Tomatoes and was the reason for Fincher's career to spiral downward momentarily until he came up with his next movie that boosted his career once again. However, Many movie critics argue that Alien 3 is far from being one of the worst movies out there and that there is no other movie out there that has the dark atmosphere. Just because it's Fincher's worst movie, doesn't mean it's the worst movie in the world or that it's terrible. It just means that out of all of his films it's not the greatest. I would say some of the biggest changes that could be made would be the filming itself and the special effects since the movie was created in 1992. I think Fincher brought his horror elements to the site perfectly to coordinate with the movie. Other critiques that I guess I could make would be that some scenes could be reworked but every other movie is that way too. It's hard to tell since I haven't seen the movie first hand but from looking at reviews that is what I have gathered. That the film can be controversial and it has mixed reviews.

The specific scene below is one of the scenes, in my opinion, that could be redone. The way the doctor is killed by the alien is not really realistic or that scary and honestly made me laugh when it was picking the doctor up by his head. For instance, when Ripley (gonna be honest don't really know who this is) sacrifices herself the scene is kinda good until it shows her falling into that lava or whatever that is. It just looks so weird and awkward as she floats down into "lava" (again I have no idea what i'm talking about) that looks like weird orange gas.
