My book is called refugee, and I chose this book because it appealed to me during the book rotation in class and because I like war books. This book is about life of families during war. Josef was a Jewish boy when Nazis ruled, Isabel was a girl who lived in Cuba when riots and plaguing her country, and Mahmoud was a Syrian boy whose land was getting destroyed by terrorists. They all had one thing in common, escaping from their nightmare. I like this book because it has a story of 3 families and it changes every chapter. I also liked how the kids had to learn to be adults and take care of their family, when their family is scared or sad. For example, Josef has to take care of his father, who can't forget the memory of concentration camp. this book is different from many that I read because usually they have one story, but this has 3 stories and i usually read sport books and not war books. But this book is similar to a book called "The Holocaust," that I read two years ago, because both of the books dealt with families trying to escape their nightmares during a time of war. Even thought I haven't finished this book, the three best things I like in this book is first, the book has three stories with families in different places of the world, but still with one mission, to escape. Secondly, I like how the character's age doesn't matter, and everyone's in charge. Lastly, I like how the setting of the three stories is completely different. For example, one family is on a big cruise boat, and ones on a homemade raft. This author wanted us to realize the tough times families have to go through during wars, and how lucky we are to be living peacefully and not needing to escape from a war. No, doing homework or not being able to play sports is not going through a war. This story has nothing to do with our lives today, but it makes us think about history. This book has taken my breath and made me erupt in sadness and thankfulness. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in sad books, or war books. Also if your interest in a book with multiple stories, this is for you.

At this point three families are trying to get out of their home country due to war or other reasons, and trying to get into a new country. I chose this book because I like war books and this is something new for me because it has a story of three families. This book relates to the world today. For example, people in North Carolina have to leave their homes due due Hurricane Florence. It's also different because today it's easy to evacuate due to technology and they are leaving due to a natural disaster instead of war or political instability. I can relate to this because during hurricane Ike I went to Austin, but I wasn't a refugee, because I had plans to coming back, but still I had to leave my stuff behind that could be destroyed in the hurricane. This book makes me sad because, these family are losing their life or family, and were going thru a hard time during the war and the escape. This book makes me feel thankful, because I have a good life and education. These kids don't even have a childhood, because all their life they have witnessed war. I was confused when Mahmoud's dad tried committing suicide in the ship. I was confused because they were about to have freedom and why he still thinks hes in refugee camp. I was also confused how Lito threw away all the food in the boat. I get he did it for weight, but he could have threw away stuff like clothes and not food. Food was important because they didn't know how long they will be at sea. I think when all the three family make it to land, at least one member of each family will die or get lost. I'm guessing that because Mahmoud's dad is in the hospital in a different country and Hana the baby is given away so she does't drown. This would be sad because they won't be able to live a new life happily. I'm guessing all the families will make it on land, because Mahmoud has, and the others are close. This would be happy because they can finally live a new life. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoy's war books and is interested in a book with three stories of three different families, but have one mission, escape.

I finished my book called "Refugee." The book was really adventurous and sad at the same time. This book had 3 families going to different countries to hide, with one think in their mind, to escape. Mahmoud is going through war in Syria, Josef hiding from the Nazis, and Isabel trying to disappear from the crisis in Havana, Cuba. I can compare this book to " Prisoner B-3087," which i just started reading. Both books involve kids growing up in a war. "prisoner B-3087" just focused on one boy named Yanek who is going through the Nazis and seeing horrific content in concentration camps, which can be compared to Josef in "refugee," who is trying to get away from the Nazis. This book can also be compared to people in Syria trying to escape Isis. Today Syrian's are trying to find places who will accept them as refugees, just like this book. This book made me sad in the end because Mahmoud and his family are living without their baby sister, who was giving away to be keep en safe. Also Josef made it to land with his family except for his dad who tried committing suicide and later dies in a different country from them. Lastly Isabel and her family made it to Miami, but without Lito, her grandfather, who acted like he's drowning so the coastguards rescue him and his family can make it to shore. I like how the kids are acting like men, because their family is falling apart from the stuff they went through, but the kids don't give up and save them as a men or women. For example, Josef acted like a men and guided his family after his dad was falling apart from his experience in concentration camp. The most shocking part in this book was at the end when mahmoud made it to Germany, he met Rutie, who was Josef's little sister, after she grew up. Rutie let Mahmoud and his family live with her, which was nice because a few years ago Jew's and Muslim's were enemies. This was confusing, but it was nice of Ruite and it changed the whole story because Mahmoud and his family got a place to stay and could get back on their feet. I loved this book and it definitely was one of my top books, because of the three different stories, and how two of them actually tied together. This book had no negatives except for it didn't really tell how the families are doing in their new home. I definitely recommend this book to everyone especially people who like history or war books. If you get emotional easily, maybe this book isn't for you.

In "Prisoner B-3087," a family is under Nazis control and their ghetto is being taken by Nazis and people are trying to survive. Yanek, who is only 13 years old is trying to survive in concentration camp, and his whole family is killed by the Nazis after they were taken to concentration camp. This book takes place first in the ghettos where Nazis had taken over and later in concentration camp in the 1930's in Poland. Yanek is a mature and hardworking boy. For example, when his family was alive he encouraged them to hide and he was the one who talked to the Nazis. For example when everyone was scared to open the doors for the Nazis, Yanek stepped up and opened it. Also he worked really hard as a tailor to keep him and his family safe from being sent to concentration camp. I can connect this book to my last book called, "refugee," because they both had a character who was trying to live life under the Nazis, and it was also by the same author, but it was a little different because Yanek didn't try to escape, but in the book "refugee" the character tried to escape and go somewhere else. This book also reminds me of people who are in Syria who are trying to live life under Isis. Both events involve war and the citizens being abused and tortured to death. I'm interested in this book because shocking events come unexpected. For example, when Yanek came from work and was eating, someone told him his uncle died. This book is also interesting because the setting changes often, like he randomly gets selected for another job out of the ghettos. Something that shocked me is that he's only 13 and he's been sent to concentration camp, and the Nazi's killed all his family. I thought when Yanek gets to concentration camp, he will see all his family, but I got sad when I realized all his family is dead except for his uncle, who dies soon too. I'm shocked that without his family Yanek is still trying to survive and works hard. When Yanek was sent back to the ghettos to clean up and find valuable, I was unsure when Yanek took some of the money and hid it, because the fine for that is death. I think the Nazis will find out about his money and get him in trouble. I hope that Yanek survives concentration camp and finds his family. If that happens I will be happy, but it looks hard seeing how they are getting abused and tortured. I think this because this whole book has sadness, and maybe it might have a happy ending. I picked this book because I liked the last book and this book was similar and by the same author. Based on the cover and the first 98 pages i think this book will be about a boy traped trying to live his life. So far i can recommend this book to everyone, except for who easily get sad and cry about sad books.

In "prisoner B-3087," Yanek is sent to concentration camp and is te only one alive from his family. Other countries have started fighting the Nazis which means two things for Yanek; Yanek will be freed or dead by the bombs. Yanek is a kid when the Nazis have taken over his town. Yanek is sent to different concentration camps to do work. I like the setting because it gives me knowledge of the history of the world and how the Jews were treated. The plot makes me feeling thankful for my life knowing how other people like the Jews are treated. The theme of the book is never give up. For example, Yanek's whole family is dead and he still works for the Nazis and is determined to get freed one day and continuing his family generation knowing it's all up to him now. I like the theme because often people give up if they can't do a simple task, but we all should continue with life and not let the bad things stop us. Yanek is responsible for a thirteen year old. For example, when he and his family was hiding from the Nazis; the family was ready to turn themselves in, but Yanek stepped up and encouraged them to hide. Yanek is often the adult of the house, for example, the Nazis came and everyone was scared to open the door, so Yanek opened it and did all the talking. Due to this I like Yanek, because we all should be responsible. Often we forget a simple task like doing our homework. I can connect this book to myself because just like Yanek I try not to give up no matter how hard something is like a unit in school. I can also connect this book to "refugee" by Alan Gratz, because in both books one of the main characters were ruled by the Nazis and dried to be free. The character in "refugee" escaped and went to France, but Yanek is stuck in concentration camp. This book keeps me interested because the setting keeps on changing and I don't know if the new location will benefit or ruin Yanek's life. This book also makes me sad because Yanek barely gets any food and he has no family nor friends. Every time Yanek makes a friend, he is usually killed for being to weak or not working. Sometime that made me happy and shocked me was when the other countries started bombing the Nazis. I am happy because this may be Yanek's chance to be free. Something unusual Yanek did was, when they were walking to a different camp and he saw a kid who was almost at the end(where the Nazis wait to shoot the slow ones) Yanek picked him up to rescue him. It was weird because he could barely handle himself and the kid was probably going to did anyways. I hope the Nazis are defeated and Yanek will be free. I am guessing he will be free because this story is based a real story, and if he wasn't free how was all this documented? I recommend this book to everyone because it is awesome and the different settings will keep your eyes in the book.

In "prisoner B-3087," Yanek is sent to ten different concentration camps, and must work hard in order to live. Yanek is the only one to live in his whole family, and he must live the concentration camps in order to continue his family. The Book takes place during the 1930's in Poland. Yanek is a Jew and must go through all the abuse he receives. Yanek is really responsible and mature. For example, he does everything the Jews tell him and works hard. Yanek is mature because when his family was alive, he was the only one to encourage everyone to keep on living. The message of the book is to never give up no matter how tough something may feel. Yanek survived over a decade and ten different concentration camps where he was starved, tortured, and forced to work. I can compare this book to Hurricane Harvey because everyone was determined to help each other and today Houston is back on it's feet. Same with Yanek, Yanek worked hard and he was the only one in his family to survive the concentration camps. Something that shocked me was that Yanek actually survived the ten concentration camps. I thought he wouldn't survive because the imagery of the camps were just inhabitable. The Nazis would kill people for fun, Only give one slice of bread for a journey that takes days, and give harsh jobs like building stuff. When Yanek was free I was happy because Yanek went through so many stuff, and he deserves to live freely. I wonder what will Yanek do in his life now, since he has no family. I wonder if he will go to school, get a job, or get in a relationship. I was surprised and happy when Yanek met his neighbor. His Neighbor was one of the first ones to be taken away by the Nazis and still survived. I'm guessing Yanek will go to college and get a after school job. I'm guessing this because Yanek's mom wanted him to attend college and to live Yanek will also need a job. I rate this book a 5 out of 5 star and loved this book. This book was awesome and always left me in suspense due to the frequent setting changes. The only bad part about the book was that it didn't tell how his family died, but the rest were only good parts. I recommend this book to anyone except for the people that easily cry because it's a really sad book.

I just started reading the book "Ready Player One" by, Ernest Cline. The book is about a orphan boy who lives with his Aunt and lives his life through video Games. I can relate this book because when I am stressed about something or sad I either play sports or start playing video games. One part about the book I can relate to the real world is when a billionaire died and he said he will give his fortune to the person who finds the Easter egg in his video game. This is relateable to the lottery because when the lottery was over a billion dollars everyone bought tickets and went crazy, and also when the billionaire died everyone were on their screens trying to find the Easter egg, but no one could find it. I like this book because it's about something I can relate to and this is the first time reading a video game book. Something sad in the book is that Wade is a orphan and he has to live with his rude aunt. His aunt only took him in because she wanted his food stamps. Wade must find his own food and he doesn't even have a room. He lives in a small trailer with fifteen other people. Something crazy is that He must hide anything with value or else it's taken by his aunt. I am hoping that Wade finds the easter egg and starts living on his own. Something sad that can happen is that he wins the Easter egg, but the billions of dollars are taken away by his aunt, but hopefully that won't happen. I thing he will win because he is really good at video games and programming and he's the only one in the world to find the first of the three keys. I picked this book because the first five pages sounded cool and interesting. Based on the cover it looks like Wade lives in poverty and is poor, but I hope he can be one of the richest people on earth if he wins the `billionaires fortune. The book is different than other books I read because I usually read sport books and war books. In conclusion, I rate this book a 5 out 5 so far and reccomend it to all the gamers.

In my book right now Wade is a orphan living with his abusive Aunt. He spends his life in a digital World called the Oasis. Wade has no friends except for one in the Oasis. The theme of the book so far is don't judge people because wade has no friends in the real life because he's fat and has acne, so people think he's ugly and don't talk to him. Another theme is enjoy what you got because Wade must find his own food because his aunt doesn't give him any and he gets anything valuable taken up, but he is still thankful and enjoys his life in the Oasis. Sometimes I can relate to Wade because when I get sad or stressed; I start playing video games. I can also relate this to the real world because in places like Africa they are living in poverty and if they have shelter they live in small houses with a lot of people. Just like the poverty kids, Wade lives in a small two bedroom trailer with fifteen other people. When Wade gets abused by his Aunt I feel sad because he has no parents nor friends and his Aunt is the only person he knows, and she still abuses him. I was shocked when his aunt saw his laptop and took it to sell it, but I got relieved when I realized he has more which he found from the dumpster. Right now I really like the book and is something new because this is the first time reading a sci-fi and video game book. I keep on reading this because every few pages something new happens which helps or ruins Wade's life. Something that shocked me was when I found out Wade has a hide out at the car dump where he has the keys to one of the cars. He spends most of his day there on Oasis. I hope Wade wins the hunt for the Easter egg in a video game because that will give Wade a dead billionaires fortune. Something that will be bad is if he wins, but his Aunt takes all the money. I think he can win because he is really good at video games. Realistically, I don't think he will win because there are millions of hunters all around the world. So far I love this book and recommend it to anyone who likes sci-fi or video games.

In my book right now, Wade is in the hunt for the bronze key and he has just got the first clue for winning the dead billionaires fortune. Wade is a orphan living with his abusive aunts and he must survive on his own. I can connect this book to myself because I am determined to complete a goal I start. For example, if I want to make enough money to buy something, I am determined to make that money. I try to never give up because that's the only way to succeed. I can connect this book to the poor people living a tough life just like Wade. For example, Wade must search the dumpsters for stuff and find a way to get food. If poor people have homes it's usually crowded by many people, which is just like Wades house. Wade lives in a three-bedroom trailer with seventeen people. The book makes me feel sad because Wades aunt doesn't give Wade any food and Wade must find food on his own. Wade gets all his belongings taken up to be sold and must sleep in the laundry room. Now I feel a little happy because Wade has some hope. Wade is about to be the first one in the whole world to find the bronze key, which only leaves him with two keys left. I hope Wade can find all the three keys so he can be a billionaire and live on his own. Also, something cool will be if he rubs his richness in his Aunts face. If my prediction is correct, I will be happy, and the book will get a thousand times better. Something weird that Wade does is he goes to digital school in an abandoned car. It's weird because if someone finds out he's in the abandoned car, he can get in trouble. Something different in this book is that the school he go's to is online and it's a digital world here you can shop, talk, and even move between different planets. The digital world is called the Oasis and that's where the three keys are hidden. So far, I love this book and recommend it to anyone who likes video game and sci-fi books.

In my book right now, Wade in the digital world called the Oasis has completed the first gate. Completing all three gates will award you with a dead billionaires fortune. Wade is in first place and a strong gang has some how tracked his real location and blew up Wades home. Luckily Wade wasn't home, and he wasn't close with his aunt anyways. I can connect this book to the California wild fire because people's homes are being destroyed and they are losing family members and belongings, just like Wade's house blew up and all his belonging were gone. Right now i'm really sad not because he lost his family member's, but now he doesn't have a place to live nor he has some of his belongings. He wasn't really close to his family members because his parents were dead and all his aunt did was abuse him. Wade's aunt took all his stuff that is valuable and Wade must find his own food. I am mad at the gang because they literally killed over a hundred people for a game. The theme right now is be fair. The gang has a lot of fortune and are cheating in the game and killed over a hundred people for clues for the first gate. I am interested right now because I want to see if Wade will win and if he gets back on his feet. I thought the gang was just trying to make Wade scared and they won't blow up the place with over thousands of trailers, but I was shocked when they actually blew it up. I hope Wade clears the three gates first, so he gets the fortune and can live his life. I want him to win because he has had a rough childhood without his parents. My prediction is he will win because right now he is in first place and he is really good at video games. Now he also doesn't have his aunt stopping him. I am mad that the gang wasn't arrested because they were smart and put drugs there so police can thing it was a meth lab explosion. I recommend this book to anyone and rate this a five star out of five.

Even thought he is isolated from the real world, he is the most famous person in the Oasis since he is in first place in the hunt for a dead billionaires fortune. This book can be related to the real world because many famous people get death threats just like Wade. Wade even got tracked in the real world and his house got bombed, but luckily he wasn't home. I can also relate this book to myself because just like Wade, when I am focused on something, I never give up. The book is getting sad now because he has no friends in the real and the online world. Wade is living by himself and is under depression. Something that keeps me interested is the egg hunt because I really want to see who wins and if Wade wins I want to see how he will react. Something that my character did that was unexpected was due to depression he almost ended the hunt for the egg, even though he is currently in first place, but luckily he didn't. My first prediction was that Wade will in the fortune, but his aunt will take it. I know I was wrong because his aunt died from the bomb. No I think Wade will win, but he will get to keep it. So far I love this book and rate it a 5 star out of 5.

As the book is approaching a end the plot totally twist. At first Wade was really close of changing his life by winning the dead men fortune, but now the Sixer's, who are the cruelest people on the Oasis are about to win. The Sixer's have found all three keys and are just a gate away from winning the fortune and control of the Oasis, while others have just cleared the second gate. I hope the Sixer's don't win because if they do, they will add restrictions to the Oasis and make everything cost money. I am really sad because Wade's life was about to change, but no all he has is depression. I can connect this event to a moment I had once in basketball. Just like Wade my team was winning until the final countdown, when we lost. I am interested to find out what happens next because I really want to see if Wade will win or no and will he get his crush to be in a relationship with him. My prediction is Wade will make a comeback because he has gone through hard times and the book should end happily. If Wade loses I will be so sad because Wade got happy for no reason in the middle of the competition and will be living like how he used to without to oasis which was only torture. So far I am loving this book and recommend it to anyone who like a book with a good climax and likes sci-Fi.
