         <description><![CDATA[<div><sub>P:Martin Luther was a revolutionary even before nailing his 95 Theses on the Wittenberg Church.<br>E: In the scene where Martin Luther is in lecture, he questions Professor Carlstadt on how the bible is being interpreted and how Greek Christians are outside salvation because they are not of Roman descent , "Or is this claim based on an over-literal reading of Matther 16:18?" (Luther) <br>E: Luther is questioning the way the clergy has interpreted the bible and the audience is able to see how he is brave enough to show his passion for his religion.<br>L: His questioning of the scripture is foreshadowing his questioning of the Church's abuse of Indulgences. <br></sub><strong><sub>4.5 out of 5 stars!<br>Ms.Miller </sub></strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>p:Martin Luther went to study in Rome. He discovered that many of the leaders of the Catholic Church were dishonest and corrupt. People paid them money to get into heaven. Luther thought that this was wrong.<br>E:Luther wrote a paper explaining why he was unhappy with the Church. He nailed the paper on the doors of the church and the university where he taught and studied.<br>E:People made copies of the paper, which is called the 95 Theses. Many people agreed with Martin.<br>L:He started his own church, the Lutheran church. The Lutheran church believes some of the things that the Catholic Church believes.Martin Luther translated the Bible into German. He wanted everyone to be able to read the Bible.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>P:People sometimes misinterpreted Martin Luther's words and didn't always understand them the way he did.<br>E:Luther wrote 95 Theses in which he stated everything he didn't like about the Catholic church by writing this he didn't want to offend or go against the church but pope thought that he was.All of the people after reading his books also misinterpreted them and after the though that he died they went against the church.<br>E:Martin Luther said that he didn't mean to offend the Pope and he just wanted to show him what was wrong about the indulgences.He also didn't wan't to cause people to go destroy churches and attack the priests as well as he  didn't want 100,000 people to die this all was because they didn't understand what he actually meant.<br>L:However at the end Martin still ended up splitting away from the Catholic Church  and creating his own church.<br>RATING<br>4 out of 5<br>Nazar Kulchytskyy-Milkovych<br><br></div>]]></description>

I cannot and I will not recant." (Luther)<br>E: Luther knew that not recanting could have led to excommunication, and/or death.          <description><![CDATA[<div> </div><div>P: Luther was a revolutionary before the 95 theses.<br>E: In the scene where Luther was being lectured by Professor Carlstadt, he questions his knowledge by talking about the bible being interpreted over literally and how Greek Christians have importance. "So we must consider the saints of the Greek church to be damned?"          <description><![CDATA[<div>P:Martin Luther had thoughts that others didn't want to believe. This made him want to prove  them wrong.<br><br>E: When Luther wrote the 95 theses he proved that he hated what the Catholic churches were doing. What he wanted was that people were not about to buy there indulgences, but to earn then. By earning them they had lots of more trust and respect from god himself. When buying there way through to heaven you don't earn the trust and forgiveness as you should.<br><br>E: Martin didn't have anything against the pope he just wanted to prove him wrong. By doing that he wrote the 95 theses but by doing that he made the pope be offended.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br><br>P: Martin Luther was one of the only people who saw what the church was doing was wrong and decided to tack action into getting it fixed<br><br>E: During the movie Hanna bought an indulgence for her daughter which led to Martin Luther being told about this and made him furious which came the 95 thesis where Martin states “Christ did not command the preaching of indulgences”<br><br>E: By writing this Martin is saying that the thing being said about indulgences being able to save anyone and forgive any sin Is untrue and is wrong to be doing this and should be stopped. Martin was trying to point out this and many other things that the church was doing to people so it could be fixed. <br><br>L: By writing the 95 thesis and many more things about the wrong doings of the church he was able to change Christianity for the better and has stopped the wrong doings the church had been doing and he was only able to accomplish this because of his emotions and determination throughout the movie. <br><br>4 out of 5 stars<br>Adrian Gonzalez<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
