Our main student seating is larger tables with room many chairs for optimized collaborative work and discussion. At the front center of the room is where our whiteboard and projector are, front and center for the students for morning announcements and presentations, located on the left in front of the room is a table that can double as a teacher's desk as well as a spot for students' quiet time/independent work time. In the back of the room we have our teacher's desk, nearby the computers, and some group seating for both independent and group work, having the desk near that area of the room leaves the teacher only a few steps away at any given time. We also have storage on both sides of the room, for student storage as well as a place to store supplies not being used during that present time. Finally, we have our reading nook on the right side in front of the classroom, with a comfy rug, beanbag chair, and of course, shelves full of books! Having our room set up in this way allows students to separate full-group work, and independent work, as well as have a quiet, cozy place for reading time.
