         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong><em>Robert Hooke</em></strong> was born in Isle of Wight, England, on July 18, 1635. He grew up in a <strong>middle-class</strong> environment. Fortunately, he ended up with a <em>'Master of Arts'</em> degree. Robert was famous for <strong>discovering</strong> <strong>cells</strong> that were in a piece of cork and he paired it with the name ‘<strong>cell</strong>’. He also created the <strong>formula</strong> for how <strong>springs</strong> <strong>behave</strong>, called the <em>“Hooke’s Law of Elasticity”</em>. He also wrote a book called <em>‘Micrographia’</em> which explained <strong>advanced</strong> <strong>microscopy</strong> in 1665. He died on March 3rd of 1703.</p>]]></description>

She was largely self-taught in subjects like geology and anatomy through her fathers guidance.</em></p><p><em>Her first claim to fame was when she discovered the first complete skeletons of the first ichthyosaur, the first complete plesiosaur, and the first pterosaur outside continental Europe.</em></p><p><em>She is remembered through the tongue-twister “she sells seashells by the seashore.” As well as identifying strange stones near fossils, which turned out to be animal waste, which helped scientists get crucial evidence for the diet of prehistoric creatures.</em></p>]]></description>

He later held a position at the Prussian Academy.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Gregor Mendel was born in Hyncice, Vrazne, Czechia later worked in<em> the Augustinian St. Thomas Monastery in Brünn.&nbsp;</em></p><p><em>The scientist was born on July 20, 1822, and died January 6, 1884. His family had a low socioeconomic status, and they were poor farmers growing up, sacrificing many things to afford their children's education. Gregor received secondary education at the University of Olomouc before attending higher scientific training at the University of Vienna.</em></p><p><em> He rose to fame when he experimented on pea plants, which established the fundamental principles of heredity, which helped discover genes and such. I think it is interesting that he is the “founder of genetics”, which is a huge title, but his work was not appreciated until after he died.</em></p>]]></description>
