Just recently found out I either misunderstood my psychology teacher or she lied to me about putting the textbook in the reference page every time no matter what. I am glad that this was pointed out to me during this class and not later on. The most important thing that I have learned from this class is how much culture matters to a business. Prior to this class I knew culture was important, but I did not realize how much culture affected the rest of the company and its employees.

Motivation can differ based on what region of the world an employee is from or resides in. This relates to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, and how some parts of the world value certain needs more than others.

I would say reinforcement theory, just because it's kind of obvious but often forgotten. It seems so obvious that good behavior should be promoted by positive reinforcement, and bad behavior should be repressed by negative reinforcement.

The biggest thing that I learned about decision making is that a lot of outside factors like culture and sense of ethics can affect decision making. Many decisions in business are either quick decisions based on knee-jerk reactions, or well thought out decisions made by a group of people. Both types of decision making can be affected by culture and sense of effects.

I actually took a ethics class last semester, so it's pretty fresh in my mind. With that being said, I do appreciate this class being more focused on how ethics affects specifically employees in the business field, compared to a broad interpretation.

As I am currently doing an internship, this class and the textbook is spot on about what is being talked about and demonstrated in a professional setting. I'm glad I was able to take this course as it increased my awareness about professional behavior and what it takes to be successful in a working environment.

It is most def. hard to change a habit that you have been doing for the last 3 years. I really enjoyed this class and how behavior can impact the work place. I am excited to see what I have learned here in class play out in my internship. There are so many behaviors in the workplace that I never really payed attention to before.
