In medieval times the geography, as well as your social class affects how you live. For example, in a manor that would be in a colder climate, the clothes would probably be suite more to cold weather conditions, whereas if the manor is in warmer conditions, the clothes will most likely be suited for warmer weather. That can also be compared to modern times because I bet the winter wardrobe of a Minnesotan will be a lot different from the winter wardrobe of someone who lives in California. Going back to medieval times, it might also affect the way we get our goods, such as fresh water. For example, some manors can get fresh water from a nearby stream or pond, but others may have to draw water from a well. The water situation may also affect the use of fish, because in the area with a well, there probably isn't much fish, but in a manor with a river or pond, you might see fish more often. This can also be shown in modern days because in Florida, there are typically more seafood restaurants or markets than in Kansas. There is also the matter of living conditions. In medieval times, depending on your social class, you lived in different types of shelters. The serfs and peasants with the huts, and the lord with the castle. Same with today because the poor may live in cardboard boxes while celebrities live in mansions. Socail structure can also affect our diet. In medieval times peasants would eat bread, cheese and vegetables, while the lords would feast on meat, fish, bread, cheese, and fruit. This also apply's to today because if you are wealthier, you might eat at really expensive restaurants, whereas the normal person might just go to a fast food place like McDonalds or Wendys. Also where you live might affect the laws that apply to you. Like how the state laws of New York, are most likely different than South Dakota. That also apply's to the world. The laws in France are probably different than the laws that apply to the United States of America. This also was the case in medieval times, depending on what manor you lived in, and the manors lord. Your social class may also determine what style of clothing you wear. If you were a lord you might wear bright colors and designed, while if you were a pheasant or a serf you would probably wear un-dyed woolen clothes.

I think that where we live affects our religion, our way of protection, and what we eat. First for religion, depending on where you live you start to think new and different things. Like if I lived in Asia we most of us would be Buddhist but on the other hand if you lived in the US then most likely you be some kind of Catholic or Christian. Another way that where we live affects how we live is how you protect yourself, manors have walls because they are in a very central area to be attacked, but some don't need a wall because they have a natural barrier like mountains. The final way that were we live affects how we live is what we eat, depending on if where you live has really hot weather some crops couldn't bloom and produce anything. Going on with that, we have to adapted to where we live.

Food is something that effect the way you live like if you live near the ocean for example California they would be more used to sea food . Then if you live in Missouri you will most likely eat more meat and bread and more earth grown things and not from the sea. It can also effect the way you live for example the laws or rules here are different then in the U.K. because they drive on the left side instead of the right and another example would be a long time ago Native Americans and the U.K. The native Americans lived a more civil life and were were less perverse and were wast full but the native Americans used everything and were peaceful. Then it could affect your religion because Indian girls always have to where that hood clothing and in the U.K. religions people do not where any clothing that they have to absolutely were.

When answering the question, "How does where we live affect how we live," I automatically think of a Medieval Manor. A Medieval Manor has so many different parts to it that make it a good example for this question. A manor has a community of peasants, serfs, lords, merchants, and much more. Depending on where you live on the manor can make up your lifestyle or job. For example, if you live in the manor castle, then you are most likely a lord and a family member to a lord, as a lord you have to provide protection for everything and everyone in your manor. You have the responsibility of keeping the piece among your people. If you live in the castle you have a much different daily life than say a farmer. If your responsibility on the manor is to farm food for the people then you most likely live near the farm land. You have way different responsibilities and ways of life then someone who lives in the castle. These reasons are why where you live defiantly effects your different responsibilities and jobs.

Also, when answering the question, "How does where we live affect how we live," I can say that where you live effects your religion and what you study. For example, if you lived during the Byzantine Empire times then you were most likely a Christian or became a Christian. Depending on what religion you are you may believe in more than one God or just one God. This example of where we live affects how we live because like I said that where you live can affect your religion.

These two example of the question, "How does where we live affect how we live," share how where you live can effect your life, responsibilities or religion among with many more.

I think where we live affects how we live because if you live where the serfs lived you would have less food and it would be easier to catch a plague since the where the serfs live is very dirty. On the other hand, if you lived where the lord lived you would always be on a full stomach. It would also be less likely for you to catch the plague because the castle would be clean. Going back to if you lived where the peasants lived, you would always be uncomfortable and you wouldn't be educated because the peasants and serfs never learned to read or write unlike the lord who was taught all of the necessary skills like reading and writing. If you lived where the serfs lived you would be treated not as well as the lord would be treated because he is looked at like a greater being because he has more money and lives in a richer home than the peasants and serfs. If you lived where the serfs lived you would learn how to do all the labor like crops, fishing, hunting, etc. You would also learn what you needed to know for a business you might own like carvers, entertainers, weavers, potters, and more. If you lived where the serfs lived you wouldn't have as much of a variety of clothes as most people so you might only have one set of clothes. So, you might only have summer clothes and you'll be fine in the summer but cold in the winter or vice versa, fine in the winter and hot in the summer. On the other hand, the lord would have many clothes and would be perfectly fine in both seasons. If you lived in a manor near a body of water, you'll have a good water supply and a good supply of protection compared to a manor with no boundaries between them and the intruders. If you lived in a rich manor and you didn't have any natural boundaries then you could use the money to built a wall as a boundary from the intruders. Another natural boundary would be mountains or having you manor sit on a hill or platue. If you live in the middle of no where then you might eat more vegetables because there wont be a lot of animals around. AIf you live near the ocean you will have a good supply of fish and other sea life. If you live near a forest you would have a ton of meat and bird. If you lived in a manor with a cold climate then you will have more of a variety of warm clothes than if you lived in a manor with a warm climate. Maybe if you live in a manor that is more spread out the spread of disease wouldnt be as great because the people would be more spread out. If you lived in a manor that didn't have a lot of money then maybe they couldn't afford a great church and since the churches take care of the sick they wouldn't be able to take care of the sick as well since the church wouldn't have a lot of money and takinf care of the sick would be te second priority after the the church's wellness. If a manor didn;t have a lot of people then they would have less crops for the church because they wouldn;t have a lot of people to take care fo the field for the church. In conclusion, where you live affects how you live.

I think this because if you lived somewhere where there was no one around you, you wouldn't have to build a wall where as if you lived near invaders you would have to build stronger walls and more areas for protection. It also affects our religion because if you lived in a certain place back in the medieval times, then you may or may not have Sundays off based on your religion so, if you lived some where else then you might not celebrate some of the same things or have some of the same jobs as the other religions do.

You are not used to doing any chores in life, so you could be a messy person then you are not used to the work that you need to do in life to be successful. Plus if you are rich in a house you could get fat! In modern times, like today, you eat different things and do different things depending on where you live. For example, if you live near the ocean, you most likely would go swimming a lot and eat fish. You might also be talented at fishing because you are exposed to it so much. This would be very different living in the country. You would learn to farm and care for animals. You would probably be more talented in horseback riding then swimming and fishing in the ocean. You would also probably eat sandwiches and salad more than fish. That is why where we live affects how we live.

I think many places have certain pros and cons, sort of like benefits of one health care system compared to another. In medieval times, living on a manor had benefits that helped the feudal system to last longer. Living on a manor certainly meant work, but it wasn't a meaningless unpaid chore. In return for work, peasants received protection and food. Protection was very important to the peasants, so it acted like a bonus from living on a manor. This was one of the manor's pros. Evidently work and the peasants' living conditions were cons, but peasants believed there was a balance between both sides of the scale. Peasants often tended to focus on the benefits of their "health care plan" (manor lifestyle.) They also might've believed taking Sundays off to attend church was a benefit they couldn't have in another world. Many articles and books suggest that peasants were often slow to realize a life better than their own.

On the other hand, the lord was jubilant while the peasants worked hard, long hours. The manor benefited him in countless ways. He was able to control his own little world and make the peasants work for protection he rarely had to give. His health care plan was great for him; he never seemed to get hurt or have to pay high fees! In his view the manor's scale of pros and cons was unbalanced, with the pro side clearly more plentiful than the con.

Overall, the people involved in the manor and feudal system were content with their lifestyle. They believed the system worked for them. Many systems over time were created for the people's benefit. During the creation of systems cons were overlooked.

In conclusion, where we live affects how we live.

It affects your religion because in medevil times lots of religions had only been discovered in one country and hasn't spread to new places yet. Also many religions are a life stye and will change what you do and how you think every day. So religion can change your whole life and goals.

Where we live affects how we live because you could be on a peninsula and use it as a natural border like Rome did, you could be in a valley and use the mountains as defense you could also be in the middle of nowhere and need no walls or you could be on a mountain and able to see far and not have any surprise because you always see them comin it also matters in modern times like how we only have allies near us and water everywhere else around us so we don't need walls or how country's in Australia don't need most defenses because all the other powerful countrys are across the sea so they can easily prepare in time for war.
