My name is Sara. It was simply given to me because my parents love it, and they think it sounds very beautiful. I never really thought about the fact that my name was Sara, and that it was part of my identity, until a few years ago. I really like my name. It is super short and easy. Plus, I love how it sounds. I think it is a good fit to my personality, although many people tell me I don't have the "face" of a Sara. No one has ever made an assumption about my name, people usually tell me "Omg, I love that name", and that is super kind <3. I always feel strong and capable whenever my dad calls me "Sara", usually the name is way too strong, so people call me Sarita or Saris.

But I love it.

What assumptions might someone make about your identity based on these choices?

They make think Im boring or superficial for doing my make up or for eating a healthy snack.

What might happen if you made different choices one morning? How could making a different choice in your hairstyle, fashion, or another aspect of your routine affect how people look at you?

I just don't think on whether people like or not my decisions. Im super happy just like this, and I would not change my daily habits because I feel super healthy.

Describe a time in your life when your concerns about how you would be perceived by others affected a decision you made.

Maybe when I was younger I would change some details of myself because I knew people would not respect them.

This image really melts my heart, I always feel very connected to anyone who has a deep love for nature and the ways in which we can protect it.
This global issue involved nature (of course), but the thing I liked the most about it was that the entire excuse in order to save the trees, was God and spirituality. They protect and respect the trees because they are 100% convinced that it keeps them closer to God. And, honesty, that is just so beautiful. That was my personal impact, on the other hand, as for my community Thailand is very far away, but I once went to Valsequillo with my cousins to plant new trees and it was so much fun, I will try to do it again.

Four men riding a train, with the future hope they will survive the many dangers they could possibly encounter with the hopes of starting all over again. Image by: Jorge Dan Lopez (Chiapas, 2003)
I feel like the testimony I shared does not impact me as much as this issue (Mexican migration), which is why I decided to share this picture. I remember being like 10 years old and watching a documentary called "La Bestia", I did not know what I was about the see, but from that moment in my life, this topic hits home very deeply. At the end of the day, it affects my community because it is the population of my own country, which experience socia differences and decide to escape this reality.
