So, when we started our plan was basically to pick a few skills and to just get started on understanding the game and figuring out how to play the game. We later developed skills and picked which skills we would like to work on we picked: chest pass, ball control, positioning, one handed throw, jump and shoot and underarm pass. We then spent time working on theses skills and coming up with a plan on how we will improve these skills and how we would work on it. None of us had a handball so we came up with other alternatives such as I used a volleyball while my partners used bundled up clothes and socks to practise passing throwing. We practised these skills and continuously gave each other feedback on the skills and we told each-other how the others could improve and what they could do to be better in that skill. We worked on our skills a lot until the feedback we received from our partners was that we have practised enough and we have done well in this skill or perfected the skill. We practised effective communication by calling every-time during class whenever sir told us to call and talk to each other. Before starting to practise anything we spoke to each other and consulted each other if we should practise that way or not. We all practised together as well and consulted each-other after each practise session to see if we were doing things well and to talk to each other about the next session. We were extremely cooperative and whenever someone did not understand what to do or someone did not know what to do we would discuss with each other and speak to each other about what all we had to do and how we can explain the concept to the person that did not understand. We also were cooperative while practising as all of us have different paces and some learn some skills faster than the others so we waited for the group member who took longer and encouraged them. For receiving and giving feedback and feedforward we spoke to eachother all the evidence of that will be in the group and personal folder. So we spoke to eachother about what we can improve on and what we could have done better or we are doing really well. Here is the evidence for that - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1J5ktxsnKO43APP3ZXHkADWH-jQn5YGnCh-gxCmX4jUg/edit?usp=sharing.
We accepted eachothers diversity. Like I said before if anyone took longer to learn a skill or if anyone wanted to learn a skill in a different way the other two people were very cooperative and open minded and we all tried different ways together. We accepted eachothers choices to learn things differently. We supported and encourage eachother and the evidence of that will be in the folder along with the evidence of everything. We supported and encouraged each other to do better and how they can improve. We motivated eachother to do better and always were there for eachother. We also included eachother in everything we did like if someone wanted to do some other skill we all did that skill with them instead of the person doing it alone. Our problem solving and negotiation skills were also really good as we did not really have problems except for in the start when we were picking the skills so we decided that each person picks 2 skills so we would not have a problem and everyone would get the skill they want. That was a conflict that we resolved but after that we did not have any conflicts. Like I said we did not have handballs so I used a volleyball while Ashvin and Vikram used bundled up clothes. For space none of us had a lot of space so we used a wall which we practised throwing and passing on. We chose skills by talking to eachother and divided the work so each person would choose 2 skills each we did this so conflicts wouldn't emerge and everyone would get the skill they want. We chose the chosen skills as we thought they would be optimal in the space we had and they are basic skills as this is a new sport for us. We broke the skills apart into parts to make them easier for us to learn and work on like we broke up the chest passing skills to just practising the motion of the elbows then of the fingers and then finally adding the ball. After we received our peer feedback we all knew what we had to work on and what each of us had to do to improve our technique. Like I received feedback to bend my knees while performing the skills to improve mobility and agility to run after the skill. After we chose the skills we decided to start working on the technique so each of us decided to work on the technique so each of us performed the skill in front of our teammates and we received feedback on our skills. Like I got feedback to bend my knees and for my teammates while they were performing the chest pass their elbows were not coming out and were not straight and they were losing power on the pass. In L1 I was clueless on what to do and I did not even know how to do each of the skills but now after all the lessons I am much more well versed with the skills and I know now how to do each of the skills and how to improve my technique. Some of the challenges I faced were that I did not have a handball and I used a volleyball which did not have air. Sometimes I was not able to join the call but my group helped me in understanding what we were doing and what I missed. This sport handball is a full body sport and improved your flexibility and strength of your entire body. I think I improved in the skills because I practised a lot even after school I practised a lot of the skills and practised my technique.
