         <description><![CDATA[<div>Blogs can be collaborative in lots of ways. In reading it gives students a chance to discuss a book and character development back and forth. In writing it allows students to have feedback with each other. Social Studies it gives students the chance to build on the topic that is being focused on.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>With Weebly it is easy to have collaborative blogs with the blogging pages.&nbsp; Students can answer each other, answer the teacher blog, and respond.&nbsp; Even though last year was a work in progress, I loved having my homework blog page.&nbsp; I could reply to a student response and be able to give them higher level questioning.&nbsp; I love that this can be referred to in the classroom, pulled up on the smartboard, etc.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>A limitation is the time.  Having time to read each response and reply if needed as well as having students actually go back and read replies.  </div>]]></description>

A limitation would be that it can be hard as the teacher to make sure you are viewing all the comments and responding to the comments.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Collaborative blogs allow students to discuss and give constructive criticism to peers and peers outside their own room, however it is not located necessarily on their blog, so they don't get to keep it for future use. &nbsp;<br>I would use this in Reading to give my students specific questions about a genre that we are exploring and they can answer based on the book they are reading.This will allow others to respond to them if they know the book and have thoughts on it too.<br>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Individualized blogs allow for student to keep an on-going journal of their thoughts and ideas over the year.&nbsp; It is something that they can keep with them in the future too. This also gives students a place to do some reflection. This would be a good place for students to do their reading response journals that I could go and respond to. The only draw back to this is time to go to each of the students blogs one at a time.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

My students already participate through Canvas, but I would like them to have their own blogs as well. I like that students can express themselves in a variety of formats, such as typed responses, videos, and pictures. I t also builds a reference&nbsp;for my students to use later and allows them to measure their growth.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
