Fifth grade was probably my favorite year of elementary school. Not everyone will agree but here are a few things you can do to make your fifth grade year a little bit better.

1. Have a good attitude. Did you know that you can actually trick your brain? If you say I'm so tired all day you brain will be tired or if you say this is going to be a really bad day then you are going to have a really bad day.

2. This one may be a little obvious but try to always get your work in early or on the due date. Having to finish something up after the due date is going to put you behind on everything else until you get it finished.

3. Miss Davis is the best. She is the main reason as to why fifth grade was my favorite year so far. She has a LOT of crazy fun an goofy things planned for you. So put your seat belt because you are going to have a crazy but amazing last year at Swanson.

As of right now I don't know if your virtual learning or back at school but I do know either way Miss Davis is going to make this year the it can possibly be for every single on of you.

5th grade. When I started the year, I was so worried. I had been at Swanson since kindergarten, and now I was on my last one. But you don't need to be afraid! 5th grade Team Enthusiasm is the perfect place to start maturing into teenagers. But you will be tested. For some reason there is always someone in 5th grade causing drama. It is NOT fun. What IS fun is recess, or read aloud, or scoot! but if you spread rumors you will miss out on these fun things. Ms. Davis is a very forgiving teacher, and a very forgiving person in general. She doesn't get very upset often, but rumors and causing drama is UNACCEPTABLE.

But 5th grade is more then just rumors. In Team Enthusiasm, you need to do your absolute best to try to get assignments turned in on time. You also use technology more, and do digital assignments on a weekly bases. so you can work on them at home. You need to try and get them in on time. but if you can't, don't lie or make excuses, just finish it, get it to ms. Davis, and make sure you don't do it again.

That's the basics. But remember. you can do this. You don't need to be nervous. Ms. Davis is one of those teachers that don't feel like teachers, they feel like good friends who you can talk about anything with, and you trust. And by the end of the year, you will love her like we do. She really is the best teacher.💕

Hi! 5th grade can be rally surprising if you don't know what your up against. So I'm here to share with you a few tips and tricks, cause why not!

#1: Make friends! Having friends in pretty much every grade of school is a must. You can make friends by being kind, and sharing some of your favorite things or by just talking to different people! But also, you have to make sure your friends aren't just your friend so you can help them with all of their problems. Pretend you and one of your friends each have their own pile of stuff. Sometimes friends will shove all of there problems onto you, and make you feel like your responsible for them and that you have to be the one to take care of them! If something falls out of there pile, you can help by making sure it's put back into there pile. But you can't let your friend shove there pile onto yours. You are responsible for your own pile of problems.

#2: Don't be a bully, and DON'T SPREAD RUMORS! I'm pretty sure by now you know what bullying is. Bullying is when you are hurting and attacking people, physically, like punching or kicking, or mentally, like judging others, teasing them, and talking behind there back! Normally bully's have a reason why they are doing all that mean stuff, bout sometimes thy just flat out want to hurt people. Spreading rumors can also be considered bullying, like if you are spreading horrible rumors about someone. Don't end up as a bully.

Alright. So 5th grade sounds overwhelming, so what? Make the most of 5th grade because time flies and all of a sudden - it's June and the year is over. Moments come and go, so you need to hold on as tightly as you can to them while you still have the chance.
Also, if something really not that great happens, have a 'who cares' attitude. If someone is mean to you or something like that, show them that you don't care that they're mean to you and just live your live and most importantly, stay HAPPY! If you're happy, it makes all the difference.
Moving on, make sure you surround yourself with people you can trust. You have to be very careful when choosing your friends, because if they aren't trustworthy, they will betray you and then you feel all empty and sad inside.
Next, avoid things that are not your problem. If it has nothing to do with you, stay out of it.
Other thing: always get your work done early. If you finish everything early, then you don't have to worry about anything. Like for Ms. Davis's letters, try to finish those in the first week or too. And keep track of your assignments and due dates. If you are virtually learning, then make a schedule for yourself and don't get distracted.
Lastly, chill. It's only 5th grade, there's nothing to worry about. The people in 5th grade are forgiving and if you do something wrong, it's alright. And I think it pleases teachers when you go above and beyond, I'm not sure, but if you're that kind of person, go for it, don't hold back, take risks. If you spend your whole life hiding in a whole, you're never going to know what you're capable of.
So that's all I have to say, I hope you people enjoy 5th grade and I hope these tips helped you.

More fifth grade from Ali

(Because it's fun)

1. If you don't like someone just avoid them. Don't pretend to be their friend or try to get them in trouble for something because that will cause drama. It's okay not to like someone That is completely normal

2. Be yourself. This includes everything that has to do with you. Your clothing style, your drawing style, the way you talk and act, If you see someone who you think has a really great clothing style be inspired by them but don't try to copy them. this will go throughout the rest of you life at jobs, college, high school, everything

3. Don't over-think. I did this a lot during my fifth grade year but when I just did it without thinking it was really easy. If there is a math question where you have to do a lot of stuff and there is a lot of numbers don't be like oh my goodness this is way to hard I can't do this just Jump in do your best.

4. Surround yourself with friends. If you surround yourself with fake friends or people you don't like you are going to have a bad year If you make a few really close friends just hang out with them that will make your fifth grade year so so much better.
