Homework can be assigned and submitted electronically. Assignments are also time stamped when they are turned in to help students with accountability and organization. Daily agendas and documents can be posted on the classroom page. This helps students stay focused and understand the learning target for the day. Google Classroom is especially helpful for absent students. Teachers can communicate with absent students and they can work on their classwork while absent (if they are feeling healthy enough to!).

Benefits of using Chromebooks over traditional laptops or desktops are that the devices are much cheaper, (typically a couple hundred dollars), they work extremely fast, they are simple to use and maintain, and they do not have a spinning hard drive inside of the device to possibly break from being dropped or inappropriately handled. Students are able to accomplish much more and with much less frustration of slow response and broken components. Chromebooks use the Google platform and this is what many students and teachers are using as their main classroom organizational platform.
