1. A theme of this story is that bad behavior will be punished. This can be seen at the end of the story when the stepsisters get their eyes pecked out for their evil deeds.
2. Cinderella is humble in the way that she doesn’t ask for fancy gifts, sneaky in the way that she outwits her stepmother on three different occasions, and hardworking in the way that she picks all of the lentils out of the fire.
3. Both the German and American versions of Cinderella have evil stepsisters that cause Cinderella to have a very hard life. In both stories they make fun of her, make life at home very difficult, and try to steal the prince for themselves.
4. This story has a lot more blood in it, specifically when the stepsisters cut parts of their feet off in order to get it to fit in the shoe. The Disney version, which is meant for kids, does not have this in it. The German version is different in that it is meant for a more adult audience.
5. I preferred reading this version because its interesting to see how different cultures tell their stories.

1. The theme or life lesson of this story is the bad situations you´re in, will get better. You can find evidence of this towards the end of the story when Rhodapis is not allowed to go to the party/ball, but is still chosen to be the King´s Queen.
2. Three traits of the Egyptian Cinderella, had traits such has, kind and humble. Rhodapis also has physical traits such as rosy cheeked, green eyes, and blonde hair, and small feet according to the size of the slipper.
3. This myth is similar to the version I already know because both main characters lose a slipper, and is chosen as a queen/bride because the shoe fits them properly. They´re also similar because both characters cannot go to the ball, and they both were given names based off of their appearance. In both myths the two characters have animal friends =, because they cannot become friends with the people they are surrounded by.
4. This version of the myth is different to the version I already know, because Rhodapis is actually kidnapped and turned into a slave instead of having her parents die. It´s also different because Rhodapis didn´t actually go to the ball, her slipper was stolen by a falcon and brought to the king.
5. I prefer this version of the story because it has more differences than similarities. Which is good because it´s not something and American audience is typically used too. This is version I prefer more as well because involves a different culture, and shows some Egyptian cultural things.

This is a little bit similar to myth in many ways. It has magic animal which is a bull in this one.
4. The Name of the main character is Dean instead of Cinderella and Dean is a boy not a girl and there is a ritual to where every seven years a dragon comes the pick the fairest maiden and the boy saves her and rides off while the fairest maiden grabs his boot and searches for him and finds him then he becomes prince

5. I prefer this version cause it is more interesting then the Cinderellas I have read

1. The theme of the Irish Cinderlad is that things will always work out, this is shown when the princess finally finds Becan.
2. Becan is sweert, friendly, and brave. He is physically short, skinny, and big footed.
3. One big thing that has been consistent throughout all of the v ersions ive read is that someone loses their show and royalty falls in love with them.
4. One of the biggest things that is different is that this one is about a boy.
5. I prefer the Irish version because it is more interesting and strange.

1.)
Q: What is the Theme of of my your version of the story?
A: Those who are deserving of respect and keep their wits about them will have fortune in the future, near or far. In other words: Karma

2.)
Q: What are three character traits of your Cinderella
A: Stunning/Gorgeous/Beautiful:
In the story Cinderella (as called Pear Blossom) is explicitly stated that her beauty cannot be contained and her features were described in great detail.
Whimsical/Magical/Fortunate:
Through the duration of the story Cinderella has all these creatures and animals aiding her, such as the goblin frog and the black oxen. Normal people would not have fortune or aid as she in her story.
Innocent/Pure/Angelic:
Cinderella never had any big reason as to why she was hated and bullied by her stepfamily, she was only treated poorly due to the jealousy of her stepmother and stepsister. She was innocent and stayed true to her good nature throughout the entire fairy tale, making her the pure protagonist people worldwide see her as.

3.)
Q: How is this similar to the version(s) of Cinderella you already knew?
A: It is similar to the German version in ways that there were birds to peck our a different sort of grain during a trial of Cinderella. It was also similar to the Disney version by the fact the mother died and the father remarried a woman who would later become the evil stepmother, which is also similar to the German rendition of Cinderella.

4.)
Q: How is this version different to the version(s) of Cinderella you already knew?
A: The father in the Korean version never died, unlike the Disney Cinderella. In contrast to both Disney and German Cinderellas, there was only one evil stepsister in this version. The father was old by the end and helped plan the wedding in this one. In contrast to bother Cinderellas as well, the Prince seemed to have wits and some common sense to not be tricked by the stepfamily and want Cinderella and only she. The Prince was much more likable in this rendition.

5.)
Q: Which version do you prefer and why?
A: This one. The Prince isn't dense as a rock like a Harem Anime protagonist, Cinderella still had her father in her life and he wasn't a terrible man (just too sickly to stand up to his wife and stepdaughter), Cinderella had help in many diverse ways, and Cinderella expressed her gratefulness for the magic. Cinderella's Korean story seems more human and more magical at the same time, providing an excellent experience for the reader no matter their preferences.

Its also similar because she lost her shoe and the boy in power used it to find her and marry her.
4) This version is different because her name was Pear Blossom, her sandal was straw, she only had one stepsister, and the animals to which helped her were magical.
5)I prefer the Korean one because the magistrate did not have to wait 3 nights to catch her, he caught her the same day, and it shows the joy of Pear Blossom's parents when she was born and i like that.

1. The theme of this story is that you should always be polite to people you don't know because they might end up giving you a good reputation in your name or a bad one.
2. A character trait of Nyasha is her politeness. She showed this by giving food to a stranger she didn't know. another trait is her calmness. she was able to keep her cool after all the things her sister told her. A last character trait about her is how she is respectful. She listened to what the old woman said and respected the man she met.
3. Both the African and American versions have a sibling that puts the main protagonist down in lots of ways. They also both have an invitation from the king
4. This story had a prince that had the power to change into animals and other human beings. He also didn't host any dance to find out the princess that was meant for him , but instead he tested them by finding out how they would react if someone they didn't know asked for help. Another way it's different is how the American version has step-sisters while this version is her real sister.
5. I still prefer the American version over this version because I find it quiet odd how the prince is able to turn into other creatures. It is also makes me wonder if his human form is his original form.

I think the theme of this is that is you work hard and be kind good things will come to you.
2.Her character traits were hardworking, kind, and enduring.
3. In this version and the American, Cinderella's mother dies, her father remarries a cruel woman, and she is forced to work. She also is transformed with a magic wand and a godmother and leaves a shoe at the ball that the man uses to find her and ends happily.
4. This version is different from the American version in the way it is told from the godmothers view, she only has one stepsister, and there's no ashes involved. She also has embroidered slippers instead of glass ones and the man she falls in love with isn't a prince, just a wealthy young man.
5. I prefer the Caribbean version because it's more realistic and relate able and she doesn't end up with a rich prince.

I also like how the dad loves both of his daughters and how cinderella is brave enought to face a 5 headed snake

This Cinderella is truthful as she told her stepmother about the magic creatures, hardworking as she kept doing the work that her stepmother told her to do, and obedient as she listens to the advice the animals are giving her.
3. It is similar to the American version with how her mother has died and her father remarries an evil stepmother. It is also similar because in the end she still gets her prince and looses her shoe and that's how he finds her.
4. It is different because she is named Pear Blossom instead of Cinderella. And instead of the two evil stepsisters there is only one. In the other version magic is not common while in this version magic is very common.
5.

1. I think a major theme of this story is that love knows no bounds. The nanny-godmother loves Cendrillon. Cendrillon loves her nanny-godmother. They are both willing to forfeit anything for each other, and for Cendrillon, that includes loving the Prince. However, the Prince loves no other woman except Cendrillon, and found her and wedded her.
2. Cendrillon is very sweet and is not frustrated with her work. She is strong because she continues to happily serve Papa and her Madam, and she is wise because she does not let the evil Madams cold heart affect her work or her attitude. She is also very wise to know that the Prince only fell in love with her because of how beautiful she was.
3. In both versions, baby Cendrillons mother died short after birth due to sickness and Cendrillons papa very soon remarried. In this version, Papas new wife was a Madam from France, and she was very puffed-up and cold, like Cinderellas evil stepmother. Like in Cinderella, Cendrillon is a poor peasant who is forced to do a great deal of many chores. In both stories, we have a godmother figure who steps in and uses magic to make the peasant a beautifully dressed woman to attend a ball and impress the Prince. As in Cinderella and Cendrillon, the magic spell used to get Cendrillon expires at midnight. When the Prince saw Cendrillon, like in Cinderella, he immediately fell in love and danced with no other. After leaving before midnight, Cendrillon stumbled on a step and left a pink slipper. The next day, the Prince rides around trying to find the woman whose foot fits the shoe. Another similarity is that a character suggests to cut off one of the Madams daughters toes to fit Cendrillons lost slipper.
4. This story starts off on an island with a poor womanwasher who owned a magic wand, given to her by her late mother. She nursed a local islanders baby, Cendrillon, after Cendrillons mother passed away. This wand was used to help Cendrillon after the evil Madam and her Monsieur, Cendrillons papa, would not allow her to go to the ball. The footwear that Cendrillon lost was a pink, golden-laced slipper, whereas in Cinderella, she lost a golden slipper.
5. I much prefer this version because it takes place on an island and gives a different perspective of life, a more natural one with wildlife. The version of Cinderella is uptight, fancy, rich, and seems impossible to find any relation to, but this version is a little bit more natural.

1. The theme of the Egyptian Cinderella is that things will always work out and get better. This can be seen near the end of the story when Rhodopis doesn´t get to go to the court, gets her shoes muddy, and gets one taken, but is then crowned queen by the Pharaoh because her foot fit the missing sandal.
2. Rhodopis´s traits include sweet an humble, along with physical traits such as rosey-cheeked, blonde, and green-eyed.
3. This is similar to the version we in America know best because it includes a blonde girl with a nickname given to her to mock her (Rhodopis means rosey-cheeks in Greek) who is mistreated by other girls. The group of girls all go to meet their ruler and give Rhodopis chores to do while their gone, and when the ruler finds Rhodopis´s missing shoe, he goes all around the city looking for the owner, which is of course her, and they end up getting married.
4. This is different then our traditional Cinderella story because her name isn´t Cinderella, she´ś a slave not an orphan, the people that pick on her are servants not her step-sisters and step-mom, it´s not a ball, it´a more of a meeting, he isn´t a prince, he´s a Pharoah, and eccetra.
5.I prefer the Disney version because it´s more whimsical, fun, and childish and gives me that great nostalgia factor that´s always fun to have. Both versions are quite good but when you grow up with one version, it´s hard to find a better one.

The life lesson is be nice and good things will happen.

2.) Becan is very smart, brave and tough because he was able to defeat the giant that tried to 🤬 him.

3.) This is a little bit similar to the myth that i know today in many ways. It has lots of magic, and an animal which is a bull in this one that helps out the main character. The main one is the shoe that fell off and the princess went and found him like in the myth.

4.) This is different from the myth that i already know because it has evil creatures and giants along with people as in the stepsisters. Also it has a boy character for the hero instead of a girl.

5.) I prefer this one because it has a lot more action and a hero instead of a love kinda ending. I seem to like myths or fake stuff that has more action in the story. This one has a hero in it which i think is better than just a ball or party.

1. The theme of my Cinderella story is 'Always be kind, if you are rude nothing good shall come to you, Because the older sister never sees the good in anything and is very rude. When she ventured off she was rude to everything in her path, she never thought twice about her decisions.
2. Three traits are A) She was beautiful. B) She was kind and polite. C) She would always see the good in everything. I think that these are her main traits because it says in the story that her sister was practically the opposite.
3. This version is similar to the story I know because her mom does not appear in the story, there is a wedding/party, she was looked down upon by her sister, and this time the sister sneaked out to go to the wedding.
4. This version is different because the dad stays alive in this one and always believes in Nyasha (Cinderella). In this version she grows a beautiful garden and finds a snake, witch turns into the king later. This time she had to go through the woods to get to the king. There was no glass slipper or a magic "Mom-grave" to give her any beautiful clothing. Also there is no step mom.
5. I prefer this version over Disney's and Grimm's because I like the fact that there is a king instead of a prince and no ball just the woods. I like that the king is a snake, because they are awesome. I also like how the dad believes in both sisters, and I think that's it.

She's calm because, she never lashed out on her stepmother. She's honest because, she would always tell her stepmother and stepsister who helped her. And, she's courageous because, she had to deal with her stepmother's abuse for many years.
3.It is similar to the Disney version because it involves her mother dying and she had help from wild animals. Something else that was similar was that she was very pretty. She also lost her shoe.
4. This version is different from the Disney version because, her father did not die, he only got sick. She only had one stepsister, she didn't have a fairy god mother only wild animals and a pear tree. She didn't attend any balls but she went to a festival instead. The way she lost her shoe was completely different, instead of losing a glass slipper she lost her shoe in a river. And finally the 'prince' found her easily and the stepsister didn't get to try the shoe on because she thought that Pear Blossom would get in trouble.
5. I liked the German version the most.

1. The life lesson in this Cinderella story is that even if any one is mean to you doesn't mean they'll always be mean. this was proven when the "evil" step mother gave Javier her blessing to marry Adelita.

2. Three character traits about Adelita are that she is considerate, a latina child, and is also very courageous. The reason she is courageous is because she was brave enough to go to the party knowing that she may be recognized by her step mother.

3. Similarities that this myth has to disney's Cinderella is that Adelita (our Cinderella in this story) lost her father to an illness after getting married. Her step mother and sisters treated her very badly and sent her away from her room to a room in the attic.
4.One difference from the myth i already knew is that in this story "Cinderella" or in this case Adelita mother dies soon after giving birth to her. Another difference would be that in this story there was no glass slipper or anything left behind by Cinderella.

5. I don't really prefer this version of Cinderella.

1.The theme of my story is to be kind, loving, and optimistic to everything and anyone, and to stay humble. In the story Nyasha was always positive and showed great character to everyone. On the other hand her sister, Manyara showed a very negative person and later ended up being Nyasha´s servant.
2. Nyasha was always very loving, and showed compassion to others, as well as authenticity.
3.Both stories teach a valuable lesson and show a Cinderella as a protagonist in the story line as well as some magic.
4.In this story the African version has a dad and one sister unlike the American version. As well as the King in this story he´s all sorts of different things and the American version shows an actual man and the ball.
5.I prefer the African version because it´s more impactful in its story line and it´s shows an important lesson.

1.The theme of this story is to never let anyone bring you down, no matter what and to be true to yourself.
2. Brave, Strong, Kind
3. Becan, the Cinderlad in this story loses his boot just like in Cinderella.
4. In this story, a bull helps him out with his magic powers by giving him food and his tail that helped stop the dragon.
5. I like this one better than the Cinderella I knew of from Disnep, because I find it more interesting, considering it's something new that I didn't know of.

1. The theme the Irish version of "Cinderella" is to be true to yourself and to be brave and things all ways happen for a reason.
2. 3 character traits of my "Cinderella" is that Becan was brave, Kind , and didn't care what his step sisters told him.
3. This version is similar to to Disney's Cinderella myth because he has 3 evil step sisters, the mom was mean and he loses a shoe and the princess goes looking for the man that fit the shoe.
4. This version is diffrent from the one i knew because this version has a male "Cinderella" he goes out fighting dragons and saving people.
5. I prefer Disney's Cinderella better because I like the details that they add and its the version that i am used to hearing.

1.the theme of this story is to stay true to your self and things happen but not always the way we want.
2.a few traits that Becan (cinderlad) were that he was kind, brave , and determinded
3.they both have something or someone helping them
4.the Irish version is different because the main character is a boy unlike the Disney version which is a girl.
5. I prefer then German version the best. because it has majority of the Disney version but have a plot twist when the mom gave the sisters a knife and shows that the dad was just as cruel to her as her step-mom

1.The life lesson is that good deeds don't come unrewarded and you should try to good deeds in your everyday life.
2.Three character traits of my Cinderella is hardworking, obedient, and is generous because constantly works everyday because she has to receives the chores her step sister can't handle. She is very obedient because she does what her step mother and father asks of her. Finally, I think she is generous because she helped the fish who she caught herself back into the waters because he said he didn't want to be eaten. She is later rewarded for her action that she didn't expect to receive.
3.The Golden Slipper relates to the glass slipper in the well-known Cinderella and in both versions "Cinderella" has a happy ending. One other similarity is the people who disrespect Cinderella get what they deserve.
4.This version of the story is somewhat different from the original. The setting takes place in Iraq and the glass slipper is replaced with a golden slipper. She has one step sister who does not bully her, but she is clumsy so she never receives any chores. That means Maha has to do double the work.
5. I still prefer the original version just because it gives more detail. In this version the story line is very bland and gets straight to the point. There is no repetition or multiple encounters. The story also doesn't give much background knowledge. All we are given is the fact that a fisherman who has a daughter remarried because his wife drowned.

1. The theme of this story is to show kindness and compassion to all, and you will be rewarded. It also warns against cruelty and rudeness, because you never truly know who it is that you are showing your ugly side, and it will only provide consequences for you.
2. Three character traits of Nyasha are her generosity, her compassion, and her kindness.
3. This is similar to the version I knew in multiple ways, one of which being that the "Cinderella" character is the youngest daughter and is favored by her father. Some other ways that it is similar to the version I already knew is that she is friends with all animals, especially the birds, and her sister is cruel and nasty in nature.
4. This version of the story is different than the one I already knew in many ways, one of them being that the main character does not have a step-mom, and the step-sisters' role is filled by one biological sister. Some other ways that it differs from the version that I already knew is that she has no fairy god mother or magical tree that helps her win the heart of the king, and the king knew her before she met him face to face in his true form, and he loved her for her personality.
5. I prefer this version, because it shows that small acts of kindness and generosity that are done from the goodness of your heart are noticed and they will reward you. It also shows that the same will happen if you are cruel; you will be repayed in the way that you have treated others, whether it is evil for evil or good for good.

1.) I think the theme of this story is that even tho people can seem rude and crual to you, dosen't nessesarly mean to be rude to them back. And even though most of the time you aren't treated the way you wanted to be treated, dosen't mean to treat them the same way. Adelita was so nice to her step-mother even when she was treated so horrabily and i think thats how her step-mother did even up getting a heart by the end.
2.) Adelita is a very hardworking, kind, and caring person. Even when she loses everything she loved, she was the same, sweet girl.
3.) The way I found it both similar on all 3 stories was when the step-mother took out all her beautiful clothing and objects and replaced them with slip ons and weak clothing and started to make her work around the house alone.
4.) This version is different because there was Adelitas grandmother involved. and insted of a fairy godmother or a special tree from her mothers grave, there was a sweet and caring grandmother who helped her get ready for the ball, but Adelita already knew prince charming when they were children so it wasn't one of those "if The shoe fits, you are the one" moments.
5.) I prefer the one that I originally knew a long time ago because even though both Adelita and cinderella had a hard life, originally Cinderella still had someone to express her feelings with the mouses.
