It developed a set of dramatic and theatrical conventions with the sight of bringing a significant belief of real life to texts and performances.
This type of acting required conveying the speech and movements found in the domestic situations of everyday life while being able to act it out not directing to the audience.

We were told to Think about using body language 

From Neck and below while acting as it is what creates an effective and realist person also as physical movement from the character has to be always shown. 

 

I learnt about the method Point of concentration which has now been a massive part acting to the best of my abilities.

Point of concentration is a ‘made up’ Event that could change and affect the character’s feelings.

It is a scenario or situation that hasn’t happened although it is in context of the play.

As a result this is done to experiment the mood and flow of how the Scene could be changed to.

This is an effective way to make your play different so it doesn’t become a cycle of doing the same thing, in addition your objective will not be the same so it will not become boring doing the same thing and will keep the play fresh and alive.

-No longer looking out for kids’ best interests
Decisions were made by the administrators to concentrate only on those students who could perform well. On the other hand This should not be the case, teachers should do the best to reach and teach every student in my room, not simply the ones who had the best chance of passing a test.

In today’s lesson I and my peers run through the whole play and showed it in our groups after the other, I and Cindy also performed our Scene.

Although their were disadvantages as we are still on script and the performance was not performed to the best of our abilities. And i know i can do it, it is just a phase for me of starting from low, learning and gradually reaching higher.

This is because lack of rehearsal time from both parties not being present as a result leading to low confidence, scene not being blocked up and ready to be shown because of this. 

I think that I and Cindy both haven’t used a variety of spacing and stage directing causing the scene to be less strong and less meaningful. In addition We have not used “The Stanislavsky system effectively” in particular Given circumstances and Emotional memory.

On the other hand i feel if this is used it will created the Audience to understand a bit more of what is going on and have a sense of understanding. This will also create the characters to become more realistic and alive.

As a result Neil gave feedback on which we need to reflect on to help our scene become strong.
