¨But even more, I want to be in this family, messed up as it is I want to be my father's daughter, to solve my sister's problems, to be the one who receives my mother's black pearls, to be Rosemary's favorite. To be a Sinclair, and to have the security and good standing that all our hard working and dirty money and unearned privilege and intelligence had brought us. I see that now. It may be my greatest weakness, this family. But I will not leave." Pg: 279

This quote is when Carrie comes in to realization about how her family is far from normal. Her main goal was to leave her family's high expectations, and instead go on with her life and make a new life somewhere else. She goes on to admit that she sees the problem within her family and is still reluctant to leave no matter the circumstance. Even if it may be one of her biggest weaknesses in life. This had taken her a lot of understanding and maturing throughout the book for her to come to this realization about her family and who she is as a individual. It's one of the major turning points in the book for her as she finds out what she wants to be known for and if she wants to be known as a Sinclair. She was given many reasons to leave and other good reasons to remain but still chose to stay for a variety of different reasons.

Book review site: https://www.librarything.com/work/27449759

The Book Reviews that this website has given is shown to be fairly decent reviews. One of them states "If you can forget what you know from reading the other book and take this story on face value it is once again a gripping story of romance, lies, broken trust and secrets set against a summer backdrop of family gatherings, games and clandestine meetings." This persons review shows that this is more of an adventure type of book and has a lot of plot twists throughout it.

I strongly agree with most of these Book reviews on the website with most of them being positive. Most of the reviews talk about the different plot twists and ups and downs of being a "Sinclair" and go into detail about it. There weren't many bad reviews on this book and many considered it to be an outstanding book. I also liked the book review because it goes into detail and pulls out certain quotes from the book and describes what the book is really trying to describe. In addition, some of the book reviews start to go into detail about the next book in this series giving uncertainty for more to happen throughout.

I would cast Carrie Sinclair as Millie Bobby Brown. She comes from a different backround and place being brought up in a whole different kind of family. I beilive that Millie would best suit her character because there is never full certainty with her in movies either. I would also castthis because they both have weird things that happen around theum and its always under a uncertainty.

I would reccommend this book if youre willing to read a series and if you're in to aventures with many plot twists. In this book there is never a certainty of something going the right way and overall its a mistery type of book but it's a really gripping story line. Throughout the book there is never really a boring part, and its very shocking and intrguing book to have read and would recommend others to read it if they're intrested in that type of stuff.
