         <description><![CDATA[<p>There are three main places that the US were involved in. The first main place was Alaska. The US was involved in Alaska because William H. Seward bought Alaska for $7.2 million dollars. The next main place is Hawaii. The US was involved in Hawaii because in 1898 Congress voted for Hawaii to come a part to the US. The final place the US was involved in was China. We were involved in China because once Japan defeated China, many countries took parts of China. The US was one of them. So, Alaska, Hawaii, and China were the three main countries that the US was involved in.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>#1: De Lome Letter</p><p>I think the De<span style="line-height: 0px;"><font size="1"> L</font></span>ome letter sparked the war because Enrique Dupuy de Lôme, criticized President William McKinley by calling him weak and concerned only with gaining the favor of the crowd.<br></p><p>#2: Yellow Jornalism </p><p>I also think yellow journalism sparked the war because it basically was over exaggerating what really happened.</p><p>#3: USS Maine</p><p>This, because a lot of people to be mad because the Spanish sunk our ship. But yellow journalism was involved because the story got a little over exaggerated.</p>]]></description>
