One of the most inspirational lessons, in my opinion, is the lesson of balance. I connected this to my personal life since I believe I sometimes come across obstacles that I can't find a way out, but at the end there is always a path to the good outlook. This clip impacted me because Anna Sophia (the main character) enters into a breakdown where she doesn't understand how God would have wanted her to lose an arm. She emphasizes how her perspective on life has completely change and at times we tend to change our vision regarding our situations. The song and scene that resonated with me the most was the song “This is Me” because of its meaning to accept yourself, flaws and all! What I enjoy a lot about this scene is the change in scenery and how all the characters walk together really creates a dramatic effect and gets the point across that they are united and supportive friends that love their differences. It inspired me because I found the idea of the world that the main character Neo was living in a simulation but always felt as if something was wrong. I connected to it because I loved how Neo’s character developed by the help of his mentor Morpheus. I found it intriguing how one can discover oneself by just “freeing their mind” as Morpheus said in the movie. Overall, I chose this clip because this is when Neo starts to discover everything with the help of Morpheus. There is a part where Morpheus mentions that the people who are still in the Matrix are not ready to be unplugged out of it and I related that to the real world how a lot of people choose to live their lives through social media and I was once living my life like that as well. Therefore, I relate to the Matrix because I found it so awesome that Neo is going beyond the set “rules” of the simulation that he lives in and to go beyond his limitations that has been ingrained in his brain for all of his life. The storytelling is conveyed in the most magnificent way through the use of beautiful music, artistry, and direction. The story of Mia and Sebastian is timeless, two young lovers who become separated due to the trials of life. They go about their lives without each other, pursuing their individual dreams. One day, Mia and her husband stumble upon Sebastian's club that he and Mia had spoken about so long ago, and she comes to find out he has given the club the name "Seb's" which she came up with. The two are overcome with emotion at the sight of one another, the feelings of the past rushing back to them. The final scene of the film beautifully captures the feeling of longing for what could have been. Sebastian begins and ends by playing the song titled "Mia and Sebastian's Theme" and through music, the story of what Mia and Sebastian could have been if everything worked out, is told. This movie takes the route of not giving the happy ending, a rare occurrence in romance movies. While it is difficult to admit to herself and to her sister that she will not be alive much longer, she has learned to accept it and approach every day with a positive outlook. This movie is a true story about the unrecognized women that helped get John Glenn to space. Not only were they women, but the were African American women. They were met by many setbacks, criticism, racism, and sexism. Yet, they were determined to show their knowledge and worthiness to work alongside all the white men working in NASA at the time. One woman in particular, Katherine Johnson, was determined to show her knowledge and helpfulness, and was even acknowledged for being more hardworking than many of the men working there already. In the clip below, Katherine stands up for herself and demands that she be given the same opportunities in her job as the men. She explains that to do her work effectively she will need to be in the briefing to listen to the advancements. In the song, Colors of the Wind, she explained to John Smith the importance of the natural landscape, revealing to him that she, as an indigenous person, is not this inferior being with "savage" characteristics. Rather, she is a human who cares for the Earth and the animals and plants that live on it. I knew that it had to do with something in general, about life and how change and growth happens when your at your lowest point sometimes. As it has always been said when you are at you weakest point you are at your strongest and the only way is up. When it came out in 2013, I was not interested in it. I assumed it was a silly movie and while my sister and dad went to watch it, my mom and I painted pottery. When my family walked out of the theater, my suspicions were seemingly confirmed. It was not until 2020, did I give the movie a chance. Then I loved it. It nearly brought me to tears. It told a story of accepting change and growing to love all that comes into your life. It told stories of family and friendship and even if I wasn’t the intended audience, I enjoyed the message that it gave of embracing the future, even when it’s new and scary. 
This clip is at the end of the movie and shows the period of growth that the father, Grug, has come into. He accepts that he cannot shelter his children from the real world and that new ideas are not bad. This character growth, although for children, is a good example to me of how to embrace the new chapter of life that I’ll be embarking on very soon and to not fear the changes that will come into my life, but be ready to grow with them and become the person I’m meant to be.

Seeing Jack's first perspective of our outside world made me realize how there are so many moving parts in our day-to-day lives and we don't always take the time to reflect on what is happening. My favorite clip is at the end, where the protagonist, Cooper, is in an infinite, interdimensional library, observing his daughter Murph’s memories and all the moments he missed while out on a space expedition. Although confused at first, he realizes that he is meant to act as a messenger, communicating valuable information that is needed to save humanity to his daughter. What really resonates with me is that the means of communicating this message and assuring that Murph receives it is through love, a force that transcends all dimensions, even space and time, and something that Cooper was confident in enough to place the fate of humanity in. This emotional scene shows how their trust and bond could stand the test of hardship, time, and even space. I felt the sense of grief and loss associated with the years Cooper did not get to spend with his family, and it brought up something that is constantly on my mind: how we are constrained by time and the power in just a few moments, seconds that could mean everything to someone and nothing to another. They held a school hearing because they where going to expel Charlie for a prank he was not involved in. It was very inspiring because Colonel Slade talks about the integrity of Charlie after spending a weekend talking care of Colonel Slade as a job to get money to see his family soon. This scene was so powerful because Charlie a a good and honorable boy with courage and integrity "The stuff leaders should be made of", Colonel Slade came to his defense because he wouldn't say who did the prank because he is a respectable boy. One of my favorite lessons from this film is that feeling sad is okay! This might be such a simple message, but the film made me realize how we as humans worry so much about living a life full of happiness and perfection. In the movie, Joy didn't allow Riley (the main character) to feel sad and only wanted her to be happy. Joy tried so hard to make Riley happy about every moment in her life which didn't allow her to feel sad at all. In the last scene we see how Riley is very sad and the emotion Sadness is able to bring back all the good memories and allows her to feel happy again.
I resonate to this film because whenever I experience tinges of sadness I am able to appreciate joy, which is one of the main messages in this movie. Well being isn't just about chasing happiness. Overall, this film does a very good job on portraying a humans overall emotions and shows us how trying to live a perfect life doesn't always lead up to something good.

Here is my favorite clip of the movie which is when the teacher gives out the assignment and all the students complain since they think it is really hard and dumb to do. We always believe that we need to help others by doing something big for them but we can help others by doing really small actions which can have a more powerful meaning. This movie taught me that even if you are a minority in America in poor living conditions, you can still thrive and be who you want to be. In Long Beach, California, the teacher Mrs. Erin Gruell starts to teach English at Woodrow Wilson Highschool, which she soon realizes is harder than it seems due to the students being very problematic. Everybody in class is in little groups based on their race, like Latinos, African Americans, and Asians not caring to learn. The school is full of chaos and gunshots. At the end of the movie, the students realize that even though they have been through so much due to their living conditions, being in gangs, and hating the opposite races, they all form one big family because they go through the same circumstances. They are now eager to learn and to get out of their toxic environment full of violence.
I connected with this movie because, as a minority in America, we are viewed as people who cannot succeed, as shown in the film. The only person that believed in these students was Mrs. Erin Gruell. Even though I have not passed through the same hardships as many characters in this movie, I can still relate. The clip I chose is when Alejandro reads an entry of his diary talking about the circumstances he is facing, but stating that with his teacher and new friends' help, he is confident he will surpass this with the hope they have all given him. This clip resonates with me because it made me realize how even though you can come from nothing and struggle to find the motivation to succeed, there are always people there for you who will guide you to greatness. It is an incredible, beautiful movie that is written, directed, and shot beautifully, and incredibly inspiring. I recently watched Her again(for probably the 50th time if I'm being honest), because its a great comfort movie, and as I was watching it I realized that this scene really spoke to me as I went through something big that made me feel the same was as Theodore did. Absolutely heartbroken and feeling like my world was crashing down around me, I turned to one of my closest friends for comfort and she told me basically the same thing Theodore was thinking. That this is the most you will ever feel and you'll never feel like this about anyone ever again. That you'll only feel lesser versions of what you felt then. This movie inspired me to always be appreciate life an do everything we want to, like Gump did, as he suffered as a kid and he was able to overcome that, he lived many different stages of his life to the absolute fullest and that is very inspiring. I connected to this movie because I always seem to want to live my life to its fullest and I do but sometimes I forget to enjoy the moment and I believe that Gump had that process through his life form living it to enjoying it. This clip resonates with me because he is enjoying even the little things in life he is talking about them and appreciating them. His sense of humor towards others is something I aspire to be, always nice to others.
