I am from Carey, OH, but have taught at Upper Sandusky High School for the past 16 years. I have taught many things over my career, but the ones I have taught most consistently are Integrated Math 1, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Algebra 3. I have a great sense of humor and I enjoy a good math joke. Whether playing, coaching or keeping scorebook, I have enjoyed volleyball for the majority of my life with my current team being named "Kiss My Pass". The rest of my free time I enjoy following my sister's  three kiddos, fondly nicknamed Bubba, George and Pippy (front and center in the picture below) in whatever sport/activity they are in, and spending time with my husband of two years (who is obviously a huge Superman fan).

We both work at Cambridge High School in Cambridge, Ohio. we are intervention specialist and coach soccer and track together. We have 4 boys: Tim, Greg, Eric and Adam. Our youngest is about to take off to college and will leave us as "empty nesters" with no clue of what to do.
We met at Muskingum College (now Muskingum University) while competing in track. Jr is originally from Bluffton, Ohio and Tracy is from Rcohester, NY. We liked the area in southeastern Ohio so we stayed here. 
Our future goal would be to one day be track and field officials at the Olympics.

I just finished my 8th year of teaching; every year I have taught some sort of Geometry class and this past year was my first year of teaching AP Calculus AB.  I love learning and am always looking for better ways to make my math class more relevant to students.  My school went 1-to-1 last year and is currently pushing for teachers to incorporate PBL so if anyone has any experience in this we need to talk! In addition to teaching math, I have coached volleyball and am currently the advisor for the Ski/Snowboard Club, Cross-Country Ski Club (yes, it's different), and Math League at my school. I am an outdoor enthusiast and spend every free moment skiing, bicycling, kayaking, swimming, and most recently learning to kiteboard! My twin sister and I love traveling and exploring the national parks; we dream of going back to Australia someday soon (where we studied abroad during college). I also enjoy the arts, mostly painting and creating decorations and sculptures out of driftwood (this might explain the picture).

I have lived in Rittman, Ohio  all but the first 18 months of our marriage.  I will be teaching geometry for the 10th year and will teach Algebra II/trig for the second year at Strongsville High School.    I am a co-advisor for the Math Club and for Mu Alpha Theta (the math National Honor Society).
My husband Ben and I have been married for thirty-eight years and have two daughters and two sons.  We also have four granddaughters (two pictured) and two grandsons.
When I get the time, I like to sew.

I currently teach Honors Geometry and Topics in Math (becoming Mathematical Reasoning next year). I love to travel. My favorite trip was a 7 week trip spent in Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan. I'm currently on a mission to finish seeing all 50 states before I turn 50. Last summer I visited everything out west I had not yet visited before (9000 miles). That combined with a spring break road trip to Texas and other random weekend roadtrips put me in a total of 28 states and D.C. that year. and 43 states total. This summer I visited everything in the Northeast I had not yet been to. Of course, like the previous trip, you have to go through states you have already visited to get to states you have not yet visited so I think that got me to 11 states. Like Chris, I am at 48 total with plans to go to Hawaii next summer and Alaska the one after that. I also volunteer for Honor Flight helping veterans get to D.C. to see their memorials.
