Due to the success of the Nintendo Wii, we saw a rise in companies trying to include motion games to their consoles. Such as the PS Move and the Xbox Kinetic. Both of which were released in the back end of 2010. In my opinion this was a precursor to many popular games we see today such as Beat Saber and Super Hot. 

On April 4th of 2011, the hacking group Anonymous hacked Sony and exposed personal information of over 70 million users world wide. This event made headlines in every major news publication.  

CSGO was first released in 2012, thus creating one of the biggest E-Sports games ever. Personally I only associate CSGO with E-Sports. CSGO stands for Counter-Strike Global Offensive, Counter-Strike Global Offensive is the most popular E-Sports game there is right now.

September 7th 2013, was the launch of one of the biggest video games to ever exist. Grand Theft Auto 5, with over 11 million copies generating $815 million. GTA 5 would go on to sell a further 158 million copies, selling 169 million and grossing over $6 Billion by April in 2018. 

In November 15th of 2013, the launch of the Play Station 4 occurred.  Which had already sold 4.2 million units by the end of the year. The PS4 would sell another 113 million consoles before Sony had announced that they will stop reporting it's sales figures. With a 117.2 million confirmed units sold and possibly even more unreported figures, PS4 is ranked as the 2nd highest home console sold after the PS2.
