Each student in the group will design a musical instrument including “sea” materials or traditional items or both. You will upload your  Picture with musical instrument here. (November coloumn) writing your name / country / city /school. (ex: Ella / Rose’s team / France / College Cite)   You can upload only one Picture or you can make a collage with many pictures if you like. 

2. Collaborative Work: Each student will write a sentence using the given Web 2.0 tool. (MeetingWord : You will use a pad text and this pad text is synchronized as you type, so that everyone viewing this page sees the same text.)  This allows you to collaborate seamlessly on documents! The song should be about sea, sea love, sea creatures, sea life, Mediterrenean! The last step of the November activity will be to perform this song playing musical instruments and singing your song. ( To do this activity, you should be in touch with the team members tighly and communicate well) At the end of the activity each team should have a song!

ITALY https://padlet.com/ceren35/4swv31i3zynw/wish/452997293 Christopher Columbus (1451-1506) was a Genoese trader, explorer and sailor. His real name in Italian was Cristoforo Colombo; his name in Spanish was Cristóbal Coló He was born in Genoa, Italy, in 1451. In 1492, Christopher Columbus landed on Island of the Bahamas, the first European to do so. His goal was to find a quicker route to Asia from Europe. He credited with the discovery of the New World because his voyage started the era of European colonialism in the Americans. This was an crucial moment in European History.
When the Spanish knew that Columbus had found a New World, many other people, called conquistadores, went there, too. This led to the Spanish colonization of the Americans.
Columbus died on 20 May 1506, in Villadolid, Spain.
Discovery of America.
Columbus was not the first European to have discovered America. At the time of his voyage, Europeans did not know that America even existed. However, Leif Erikson, around 1000 AD, had landed in present-day Canada. This discovery had no impact on European History and was not documented. Columbus, instead,  discovered America in the sense that he was the first explorer to create repeated exploration and contact with the New World. Another point is that Native Americans had been living there for thousands of years before he arrived. However, Native Americans did not contribute to the European history for obvious reasons. Columbus, therefore, discovered America from a European point of view and this is important for European History.
Voyage in 1942
In August 1492,Columbus and his sailors left Spain on board three ships, called “caravels”:  Santa Maria (Holy Mary), Pinta (the Pantet) and the Santa Clara (nick named the Niña, that is “The little one”). The three ships were very small. Historians think that the largest ship,  Santa Maria, was only about 60 feet (18 metres) long, and about 16 to 19 feet (4.8 to 5.8 metres) wide. Columbus‘s other ships were even smaller. His parents were related: Ceva Doria, co-lord of Oneglia, and Caracosa Doria, of the Doria di Dolceacqua branch. Orphaned at an early age, he became a soldier and a great admiral, serving first in the papal guard and then under various Italian princes. 
In 1503, he fought in Corsica in the service of the Genoese Navy, at that time under the French vassalage, and he took part in the rising of Genoa against the French, whom he forced to leave the city. From that time onwards, he became famous as a naval commander. For several years he scoured the Mediterranean in command of the Genoese fleet. He conducted a  war against the Corsairs, defeating them in the little Island of Pianosa . 
What did he do for Genoa? Andrea Doria was among the greatest generals and admirals of his time; he was at the service of Pope Innocent VII, Emperor Charles V, Ferdinand king of Naples, and his son Alfonso II.
We still have highschool named “Andrea D’oria” in Genoa and we can still admire Andrea Doria’s Palace, called “the Prince Palace”
