Overall impression of Mount Vernon

Overall, Mount Vernon isn't a long drive , so it didn't take us too long to get there. I thought the house was very nice even though they had poles to help support the house up. It was cool to see inside where the first president once lived and he had a very weird color style. I didn't like how when you get a tour of Mount Vernon its just you walking around the house with no freedom and in a very long line. I also didn't like how the tour was for 10:30 but that's just when you get to start waiting in the very long line to get into the house. I did think it was cool that they had a slave memorial and we could go to his tomb and see where he was buried. The animals and gardens there were also very nice. I would recommend coming here if you've never been but if you've already been here there is nothing new to see.
