This quote proves how Ulrich came to his senses and decided to end the decades feuds and grudges with Georg and his family.

This quote shows that they have settle their differences all because he offered him a flask with wine.

They weren't very fond of each other in the beginning of the story but the flask brought them together as friends, only to have them both dead at the end.
 Ulrich took out the flask and offered it to Georg as a sign of friendship and truce. At first George declined but later accepted the truce and took the flask.
