For my piece, I drew inspiration from the feeling of jealousy, because of its prevalence among people of all ages, genders, etc. I'm sure that every single one of us has felt that pang of jealousy when you were younger (or even now) and your best friend was hanging out with someone else. This emotion was aroused because you perceived that person as a threat. But how far can the perception of a threat go? I chose the Dorian Scale (with root D) to emphasize the darkness and insanity some people resort to in order to get "over" this feeling of jealousy. I understand that this feeling's effects can vary across the human population, but I really wanted to highlight the "worst-case scenario."
