- I will explain to the students what foreshadowing is, and why we use it. I will then read a short story, that the students should know, while doing a think-aloud as I demonstrate foreshadowing. Also giving tips and hints to the students for better success.
*Guided Practice (We do)
- I will give the students a story called, "The Monkey's Paw" that we all read together and find foreshadowing by prompted questions and positive feedback.
*Unguided Practice (You do)
- In the co-taught class, I will review foreshadowing, and explain why we use it. I will then have the students read "The Monkey's Paw" and record any foreshadowing that they find.
