As we can see from the video, the entire studio's attention was on him.

Yes, because of the way he interacted and the way he introduced his previous product and the shortcomings of his previous product and compared his product to other market products. Before Jobs revealed the new phone, he took a moment to review the history of Apple, telling a story that built up to the big event. Then he provides new solutions and innovations. When Jobs first told the audience that Apple was going to introduce a mobile phone, he said, "Here it is." Instead of showing the iPhone, the slide displayed a photo of an iPod with an old-fashioned rotary dial on it. The audience got a kick out of it, laughing and clapping. They have been played, and Jobs was enjoying their reactions.

In my opinion, Steve Jobs started the presentation with courage and confidence. He made the audience attracted to what he was saying. He delivered history of Apple in words that are easily understandable. The presentation could be boring if Steve Jobs didn't tell jokes, it is a way to get the audience's attentions. His word choice, body language, and intonation really made the whole studio stunned.

The introduction was beyond good. He gave understanding in which he wanted to explain by showing visuals. I really like his explanations, and the way he communicates. Furthermore, he also interacted flawlessly with the audience, which made the presentation even more interesting. He was not in rush at introducing, instead he spoke with slower pace while bringing curiosity to the audience. He controlled the whole studio, and deserved applauses.
