Next Steps:  I feel that we need to find a way to give more effective and TIMELY feedback that the students actually understand.  We also struggle with meeting the students where they are and going from there. Sometimes we just have to "keep moving" due to time and expectations. Next Steps: We need to be more intentional about providing meaningful feedback to our students. What I believe we are lacking is our final step of providing thoughtful feedback. Are we having in depth conversations with our teachers including thoughtful feedback? Are we providing feedback to our students, or are we just giving them a grade? This way, we are targeting specifics of the phase that may serve as remediation and/or extension for our teachers. We are working hard to incorporate Gradual Release into our lesson plans. For our next steps, I think we should look at the GMAS achievement descriptors along with the AKS book. The GMAS achievement descriptors take the skills to mastery level, while the AKS book only goes to proficient.

I think that the next steps we take need to look into what we aren't doing to help move those students into Developing/Proficient through our lesson planning.
