“The Jungle” is a fiction novel by Upton Sinclair. In the book “The Jungle”, Upton Sinclair unintentional exposes how the meat industries have no regard for human heath and safety, this is proven by the fact that the meat industry sells spoiled, moldy and rotten food, even if it is contaminated with rat feces or even the rats themselves. Teddy Roosevelt also frowned upon monopoles and tried his best to stop monopoles from taking full control over the prices of goods with the Sherman anti-trust act. A fun fact about Teddy Roosevelt is that on October 14, 1912, while he was giving a speech in Milwaukee he was shot but he continued his speech for 90 minutes despite the fact he was shot.
