Playing Dead", by Tim Bowler is a very thrilling book. It engages the reader right from the beginning. For example Blade the main character is portrayed as mysterious when he states, "I don't like to remember the past.(1)." The reader doesn't know where he comes from or what he has been through. However it is obvious he has a haunting past. Also, Blade is a character that everyone can relate too. He is a rebel but also has been through alot. He has his soft moments throughout the book. For example, he states, " Go back. We need to check those people out," (137). He is willing to risk his life to go back and make sure everyone is safe. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
