Harper Lee creates Character Development is by showing us that all the kids are scared of the Radley's because the townsfolk all said that they were scary. Scout would be a dynamic character because at the beginning she is always saying how scary Boo Radley is. But at the end Harper Lee shows that he is a good person and scout gained respect for him. “Mr. Arthur, bend your arm down here, like that. That’s right, sir.” Another way Harper Lee creates Character Development is by showing us how Aunt Alexandra doesn't like how Atticus is raising his children but in the end Atticus docent change anything. Aunt Alexandra would be a dynamic characture because at fisrt she didnt like the way atticus was raising his kids. But towrads the end of the story she started gaining respect for atticus and his parenting methods. "My father never spoke so. Aunt Alexandra had put him up to this, somehow.".

Conflicts

Harper Lee creates conflict by causing Scout to have an internal conflict. This internal conflict that Scout was facing was being caused by her having to decide whether or not she should follow Jem and Dill into Boo Radely's yard. Harper Lee shows this by having Jem say to Scout, " If you don't come than that just shows how much of a girl you are."
Harper Lee creates this next conflict by having Ms. Dubose and Jem have a huge disagreement. This disagreement was caused by Ms. Dubose yelling at Jem and Scout because of who their father is representing in court. This causes Jem to go of and destroy Ms. Duboses roses which causes him to read to her to make up for destroying her property. This illustrates growing up by having Jem learn that people will all have a different opinion and their opinion shouldn't let other peoples opinion affect your own opinion. A piece of textual evidence that supports this is when Ms. Dubose began to express her opinion and then Jem began to lose faith in his opinion and believe that it was wrong and that she was correct.

Harper Lee creates relationships by having Scout and Boo have a good relationship. They have a good relationship because as scout grows older she comes to recognize that Boo Radley is not the horrible person that people make him out to be, beginning with the gifts left in the knothole of the tree. Then Jem finding his pants unexpectedly mended and folded on the Radley's fence, and when Miss Maudie's
house burns down she finds that someone had wrapped her in a blanket.

The theme first emerged when Aunt Rachel, Jem and Scout began talking to Dill about Boo Radley and what they thought Boo would do when he was in his house during the day and what he would do at night. This influenced Dill by making him think that everyone in Maycomb was a kind and loving person to their was a crazy man living on their street. This is shown when Jem says, " I've seen his tracks in our back yard many a mornin' , and one night I heard him scratching on the back screen, but he was gone by the time Atticus got their."

Harper Lee creates humor by having Jem and Scout make a snowman about by making it look like one of their neighbors. For example, 'Mr. Avery is sorta shaped like a snowman, ain't he?' Also, Harper Lee continues humor when she by allowing Atticus to laugh too. According to the text, "Atticus.....grinned, then laughed."
Another way Harper Lee creates humor is by having Scout miss her part during the play. This is humor because Scout had fallen asleep when Mrs. Merriweather was calling her name, Pork. in the story it says, "She....called, 'Po-ork?' I must have heard her in my sleep."
