A zine (pronounced zeen) is an independently or self-published booklet, often created by physically cutting and gluing text and images together onto a master flat for photocopying, but it is also common to produce the master by typing and formatting pages on a computer. The publication is usually folded and stapled.
Historically, zines have been around since 1776 when Thomas Paine self published Common Sense and used it as instrument in promoting the ideas that contributed to the U.S. War for Independence. This is a perfectly good example that demonstrates the rebellious and revolutionary nature of zines.
Zine comes from fanzine which is a term that generally describes a small circulation science fiction publication. Fanzines first appeared in the late 1920s.
Zines were used to promote punk music in the 1970’s, a time when this type of music received very little interest from the larger press music. This phenomenon spawned a new interest in self-publishing.

mamba negra party that I went these days. This lighting design was projected to seems like a snake(mamba negra). All of the parties of them have at least one lighting desing inspired in the snake. I really love how simple and dinamic can be a project. The lighting, the dry ice and the colors made the perfect scenario for the stage.

What really cought my attention was the different perspectives of his drawings. He always draw as 3rd person, this scene is beeing watched by the top. This is out of our common sense, because we are used to see things in 1st person. I like how objects are distorted and at the same time so usual. Lonely and melancholic, this drawing seems so quiet, intrigue me and make me fell excited to discover more about the history of it. The drawing are so well done that you can imagine and create different and crazy narratives.
The colors matches perfectly with the theme of the drawings and the few colors on this illustration makes the difference to create the perfect scenario for the moment of the narrative. The details are important and make the scene more real, create context. It could be something with few details. This way the drawing turn to something more subjective, forcing references from the peaple who see it. What is interesting of this complete scenario drawing is that you're abble to know a different place. This imaginary world that exists on the head of someone. When you're reading a book, you imagine the history based on the content you have in your head. This drawings mix thoughts and interpretations, even with so many details.
All characters mantein a serious expression and serious clothes. I think I would probably create a illustration with my vision of the world. More friendly and colorfull, with humor and love.
The end of the world can be so many things. Using this artist as inspiration, I would experiment different perspectives for the scenario. Maybe with themes related to love and transformation. Try less colors than I was planning. Monochromatic with few colors. Serious and distorted images. Inspired by feeling that I had and for me was the end of the world or try to recreate the new beginning of the world after the end of the world. For me the real end of the world is not the world exploding, it's the men's world(invasion) ending. The nature will be tired someday. At the end, the few peaple that survives will finally respect nature, no bridges between countries, love and respect around the universe. The right tecnology mixed with conscious minds. I'm probably dreaming, but in my utopy, we can be better than this.
Maybe mixing common life with magical and psychodelic items, create the monster that will cause the end of the world, aliens attack, or just a silent girl watching everything on the backstage. Maybe she knew, maybe she caused everything. Peaple are crazy, and I really want to create a context and different narrative that contrast with the comon sense. Shock and show diferent realities, dimensions or perspectives. Maybe the end of another world. We will see the final piece.
