To me, it seems like James is a pretty down-to-earth person. although he is a terrible person i believe he has a somewhat good outlook of the world. but at the same time, the tone of this quote makes it seem James thinks he's better than everyone else and has a better grip on reality. which I believe is somewhat true. but with a little background on who he is, it sort of seems that he is very self-centered. In conclusion, James J. Hill seems like a person who only cares about money, and at the same time has a somewhat agreeable opinion on people and society.

In my opinion, I want to be successful in life, live my dreams and desires. This is a very good topic, I just believe what you want to be in life is your choice. Your dreams or wishes shall come to you, not you trying to find them. James J. Hill sounds like he wasn't so successful then until he gotten older to realize reality. It also sounds like he feels people may have dreams and desires to things, that in his opinion it´s not going to happen.

To me he is selfish and a bad person. He is a gold digger but he also looks at how other people live. His opinion on people can sometimes be rude and mean, but also nice. he is a person that looks out for himself but forgets about other people in the process. I want to be successful and I feel like his quote kinda teaches me that, but i don't want to be selfish while achieving my goal.

James J. Hill thought if he built the great north railroad the people wouldn't find out about his tricks and game. He was in for the money and that is why he put up fake cows and made the crappy land look pretty. He promised the slovakian people a better home in the U.S. He was a fake and a poser who charged these poor people a huge amount to live and use his railroad. no wonder why people thought he was a bad man.

To me I think he just has a realistic outlook on life. I think even though he isn't a good person he just thinks about life in a realistic way. He thinks about life in a way that will lead you to success. I think he might have went through a lot of failure in the past and that's why he looks at life this way. I disagree with the opinion of James J. Hill because his opinion is not what he should say about people. He thinks that everyone can not be a great person in life.
The only thing that matters to him is money. I do not believe that money is the most important thing in life. What defines success for me is hard work, endeavor, and being a good person.
