Singer in a band?

I took a picture of a leaf that is all alone by itself in a lonely world. However with every drop of rain it falls on the leaf it it's gaining more strength to get up and fight on its own.

Analytical response

Choosing a poem for my creative response does resemble how I feel towards nature. When I think of poetry it gives me a calm sensation and that is the same feeling I have for nature so it does make sense to have written a poem. Artists find inspiration in the natural world; they interact with it in many ways such as touch, smell, sight and taste. With that being said both are tied to our emotions and art is a form of expressing those emotions.

When I was at the park it started pouring but as a person that enjoys white noise and raining sounds, it felt nice taking a moment to just sit on the bench and think of the poem. Taking a few minutes to myself in the environment you're in inspired this poem. Seeing everyone rush out of the park heading home did give me more time to be in the moment physically and mentally. I don't often get to sit and enjoy the environment as life does get busy. It also prompted thoughts as a child when we used to hear parents say that life gets busier and we don't have enough time but as an adult now I fully understand it.

The park I went to was my childhood park, a park I spent time in during my primary school years. It brought so many memories, playing on the swings whilst kicking the sand with my feet. It also brought memories of my friends and I when we used to create a story and songs together and have every section of the park as a play. It triggered many lovely memories I have forgotten and loved going through the memory lane.

Whilst being at the park sitting on the bench there is a sandpit whilst it was pouring there is a certain scent, when you smell wet sand it reminds me of the beach a place since a child ive always loved going to. Feeling calm and relaxed hearing the waves clash and having your feet wet and touching sand between your fingers.

In the video I captured you can hear the birds chirping, this reminds me of when I used to visit in the motherland as a child hearing the birds sing super early in the morning and always being excited to be awake to go play with my friends and watch all the children's shows. It also reminds me of the video of Wala is life, how beautifully nature was described and including the aboriginal culture.

“Children need art and stories and poems and music as much as they need love and food and fresh air and play.” (Philip Pullman,) As a future educator, bringing the kids to park to create memories is important. Having children develop a relationship with nature and explore nature is highly significant . It also provides sensory experiences, the feeling of touch, smell etc it also promotes children wellbeing and including songs, dances and drama about nature will help them develop empathy towards plants etc. furthermore prompts a sense of rhythm and harmony.

Overall this experience has taught me that i do enjoy exploring new things especially things i never thought of doing such as taking pictures of trees flowers and what stories i can create with the images also doing a mindful walk specifically when I'm feeling bothered it brought out a new energy and motivating me.
