Donald Trump exemplifies this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson very well. He is trying to change American society, and he is making it less acceptable of people who are different. Trump might be the first president ever who has had so many people like him a lot, but also so many who hate him. Each member of America has an opinion on Trump because he runs this country much different than any other president. Trump is trying to get people to follow his ideas, and he is very stubborn about not changing for anyone. 

The Lorax tried his hardest to save the trees that he knew were important. He lived by himself out with the trees, and that gave him time to think hard about the tree issue. He had good reasoning for why they should not cut all the trees down. Without his faith towards the trees he loved the trees probably would have been lost forever.  In nature we oftentimes think deeply and about issues we are facing. The Lorax did just this, and that led to the trees being saved.

Every person thinks differently and has more or less trust in themselves. Each person’s “string” is a different thing, and some people’s strings involve needing attention. This challenge was a great way for people to try to be funny and get people to notice them. It may not have been a good or safe thing, but people still did it nevertheless. Some people might also just have a huge belief in themselves that they will never get hurt which could cause them to do this challenge. The Tide Pod Challenge showed us many crazy people who did a stunt without thinking.
