The English Colonies had diverse economic activities and traded many things such as tobacco, rice, and lumber to the natives for which they received rare new world commodities such as corn, sugar, and tobacco. The French Government, instead of diversifying trade, mainly focused on the highly lucrative fur trade with the Natives. This trade was also boosted by the fact that The French had a largely positive relationship with the natives. Another way these two powers differed was that the English were allowed to set up local governments and representative assemblies in the new world. This would eventually lead to the formation of another country that would be quite rebellious…. However, the French on the other hand has strict rules and had no political rights or representative government, and had a large army force to enforce the crown. Yet, the English and French differed most in that of their relationship with the original people of the Americas, the Natives. The English became greedy over time and encroached further and further into Native territory lead to a waring relationship. The English had completely alienated themselves when it came to natives, meaning they never interbred or coincided when on the other hand, the Spanish had mainly colonized with men and eventually led to a racially mixed population. The English started with the approach to keep good relations with the natives but eventually showed their true intent to colonize/take over their land and use them as slaves. Contradictory, the Spanish started with a much harsher intent to use them as slaves and act as if they were inferior which eventually led to them falling to the Natives for around 10 years because of the Pueblo revolt which led to coinciding.

However English and Spanish colonizers both looked at natives as "inferiors",  took over their land, also slave them which later led to conflict with each other. Not only that but european colonizers both want it to explore the western territory to get wealth, spread christianity, and become more powerful and have better status as a world power. 
 And lastly european colonizers both rely on similar types of economic activity such as trade, fishing and farming to move their economy. Therefore the extent to which two European colonization patterns differed socially, politically and economically is that they were very similar.
